### 4/5 — Challenging in a good way

*2026-08-07, version 34.6*

I just passed my FNP boards today and used this app a good amount. I found other apps were too easy. This one challenged me and really helped me prep for my exam. Had good rationales to help understand what I got wrong. I highly recommend.

### 5/5 — I passed AANP 3/7/2026

*2026-03-18, version 33.2*

I 100% recommend this app !! Easy for on the go practice ! Do as many questions as possible . I did 1400

### 5/5 — Great app to reinforce knowledge

*2026-03-04, version 32.3*

Using both FNP Mastery & SMNP to review before boards. I love that FNP offers pre-testing for ANCC and AANP so you know what style test you might prefer. Would highly recommend this app for the last year of school to refresh and reinforce information. I was doing 10/day, and am ramping up as I get closer to boards.

### 5/5 — A plus

*2025-12-22, version 31.10*

I used the free version of this app for 1.5 years and paid for 3 months leading up to my board exam. 2,000 questions later, I passed the AANP exam easily on my first try - and this app was a huge help. It’s easy to use, with great rationale, references, images, and support.

### 5/5 — Excellent product and service!!

*2025-12-20, version 31.10*

I used FNP mastery for 1 month and passed the exam first time! Excellent prep! Excellent customer service!!

### 5/5 — Amazing resource

*2025-12-18, version 31.10*

I used FNP Mastery and passed my ANCC exam on the first try! It is an incredible resource with the most up to date information! The peer discussions are super helpful! Do not hesitate to use this app!! You will not regret it! I highly recommend it! Thank you for such a wonderful easy to use app!!

### 5/5 — Great Resource

*2025-12-12, version 31.10*

I have been using the free version for a couple of weeks, and am so appreciative of the 10 free daily questions! I write my licensing exam in 5 months, so not doing intensive studying yet. However, being able to touch on some topics every day is a gift to get my brain thinking while in the midst of caring for a newborn. I will subscribe to the full version as I near my exam. Thank you for such a great resource!!

### 5/5 — In Depth

*2025-12-11, version 31.10*

Questions are more difficult than other apps. I appreciate the in-depth reviews and answers. Using this app has helped me with understanding questions on other apps. Those studying for their boards on Reddit, FB, and other platforms recommend this app consistently.

### 5/5 — Thumbs up

*2025-12-06, version 31.10*

Great questions and thorough rationales along with feedback from FNP mastery staff.

### 5/5 — ANCC

*2025-11-29, version 31.7*

I used only FNP Mastery to study for the ANCC — and passed on my first try. I completed over 1,500 questions from their question bank, and the biggest tip I can give is to read every rationale, even when you get the answer right. It really helps you understand why each option is correct or incorrect.

The exam is long, but the simulation tests prepared me well for the day of. FNP Mastery proved that study materials don’t need to be expensive to be effective!

### 5/5 — AANC

*2025-10-04, version 30.2*

I passed my exam on the first try. I felt the app was great in content and challenged you to think critically. The explanations were in depth. My exam had a lot of evidence based research questions as well as policies and acts. Through process of elimination I was able to narrow it down to two answers. If you focus on your weak areas you’ll definitely pass.

### 5/5 — Get it!! I passed my exam!!

*2025-10-02, version 30.2*

I never, and I mean never leave reviews, but I just had to for this app. I purchased two other review courses and neither one of them prepared me as well as this app. After failing the first time, I was desperate to pass on my second attempt. So thankful I found this! I promise you if you put in the work, answer the questions, and read the rationales, you WILL pass your exam!

### 5/5 — I passed AANP and ANCC 9/25 and 9/26/2025 1 try each.

*2025-09-29, version 30.2*

I used this app only for approximately 5 weeks. Read the rationals if you do not know the answer. This was so helpful. Thank you FNP Mastery! Helped me tremendously. It is very similar to the actual tests. I only had 66% performance and passed both tests first try. AANP was easier. I used this through their website on my home PC also.

### 5/5 — Absolute must resource to pass FNP boards!

*2025-09-22, version 30.2*

FNP mastery has helped me pass my AANP exam on the first attempt! The questions were challenging which has helped improve my critical thinking skills and confidence for my boards. I used this app daily for a month before my exam. I also used Sarah Michelle’s crash course, Leik book and FNP board prep study guide by Scrublifenotes as resources. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to the whole FNP mastery team!

### 5/5 — Passed ANCC yesterday!!!!

*2025-09-21, version 30.2*

FNP Mastery was extremely helpful. The questions were very similar to the ones on the board exam. I used FNP Mastery and the Barkley Review Book!!!

### 5/5 — Worth the money

*2025-09-20, version 30.2*

I’m so thankful to have found this app to study for the FNP exam. I took the AANP on 09/20/25 and passed my first try! I attribute a lot of that success to this app. I got a 71% on the questions (I took about 1200 qs) and 77% on their predictor AANP exam. The predictor exam was 10x harder than the actual exam so don’t let it discourage you!

### 5/5 — I PASSED!!!!!!

*2025-09-20, version 30.2*

Thank you Mastery FNP I passed my ANCC 9/19/25. I used this app only to study and it helped me so much. The test was tough but I scored a 70% on the mock simulation test and I scored nothing above 71% in the app itself and I still passed. don’t get discouraged guys it’s worth the price. I’m officially an FNP 🤯🥇

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-09-06, version 29.6*

Worth it

### 5/5 — FNP GRADUATE

*2025-08-17, version 29.6*

I appreciated and well understood the info all will help me get the test right this time

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poor Question Writing

*2025-04-06*

I have done over 500 questions with this app using the free version. I finally deleted it today to move on. It’s not even worth the free version, in my opinion. I have written into them multiple times with concerns, as many times their questions have little information in the stem & poorly worded answers. Every time they have emailed back, they have agreed the question was poor. There are way better resources out there with more consistent and proven track records to prep for NP Boards. I wouldn’t waste my time with this, as it just added confusion to my studying. They really need to review their questions for readability and accuracy and, judging by the comments, many individuals agree. Don’t use this as your sole study method if you use it.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your honest feedback. We’re disappointed that your experience didn’t match the standard we aim for. While we’re proud that many students find value in our free and premium content, it’s clear we fell short for you—and that’s something we’re taking seriously. We’re constantly auditing questions and revising content to ensure readability, consistency, and clinical relevance. Your input, along with that of others, is directly shaping those improvements.

### 1/5 — Repeat questions

*2023-11-16, version 10.3.11447*

I set a goal of 20 questions each day. I love the questions and the rationales. However, every day at least half are repeat questions that I’ve seen every day. And they are questions that are easy that I’ve makes “know” on. Frustrating. Glad I only paid one month.

Called company and left a voicemail along with two emails and several days later, no response.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2023-11-13*

I’ve enjoyed other “mastery” apps in the past but I am Very disappointed in this app so far. it has not tracked my progress, saying I have only answered 6 question despite answering over a few hundred. And what’s worse is it continues to repeat questions that I have already gotten correct and understood the content. For such an expensive product I seriously expected better. The questions themselves and rational are good, but if the actual delivery of the content is extremely lacking without it actually remembering my progress.
I wouldn’t be so hard on the app except for the fact that it is expensive, I am willing to pay the price if it works, at this price I expect to not run into constant technical problems.

**Developer response:** Hi, this is Sarah from FNP Mastery's Customer Support team. I'm glad you reached out to us through this review.

My developers have fixed the bug when answering questions through the blue "Mastery Plan" box. Please prompt the app to sync fully to resolve the repeating questions on your phone.

Please try this to Sync the app manually.

1 - Click on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the app and hit the "Sync Content" (or "Sync Progress") button.
2 - Force Close the app.
3 - Relaunch app.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, please email us at support@hltcorp.com or call us at 319-237-7162 whenever convenient.

### 1/5 — Don’t recommend

*2021-10-07, version 8.66.9185*

I just passed the AANP today and everywhere I read online said to do the Leik book and her app with the practice questions. I stuck with that advice and I loved her book and app. Her questions were easier to handle and gave me confidence, and some of them were word for word on the exam. The FNP Mastery app is WAY to specific, each question made me feel like I had to be a specialist to know the answer. Every time I’d try to do a few more practice questions in the FNP Mastery app, I would lose confidence in my knowledge. Waste of money. Stick with Leik!

### 2/5 — Free Qs are inconsistent

*2025-04-20, version 26.0*

They advertise 10 free questions/day, but mine locks me out too soon about 30% of the time. I’ve been locked out after one question, and after nine.

### 2/5 — Answers are inconsistent with Leik

*2025-01-28, version 23.2.2*

Some answers are inconsistent with Leik. When you do customized quiz, it’s easy to hit return button by accident and you have to do it all over again with different questions because there won’t be any history. Some questions test unusual topic that I doubt AANP will test. But overall it does give you more question to do besides Leik.

### 2/5 — FNP

*2023-10-29, version 10.0.11443*

I have been utilizing this application as a valuable tool in my preparation for the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) board examinations. Initially, I held a strong appreciation for the app's functionality. However, with my recent upgrade to an iPhone 15, I've noticed a significant shift in the app's structure, which has regrettably led to a diminished level of convenience in its use.

### 3/5 — Good app

*2025-10-22, version 31.4*

Its a good app for studying, 5 stars for the rationals. But $50 a month for a Qbank is a ridiculous amount of money for struggling students, its bad enough many us have to spend thousands of dollars on just preceptors if our schools are not partnered with clinical sites. I wish it was more affordable.

### 3/5 — App glitch

*2025-05-30, version 27.2*

I used it for 2 days now when I open the app it’s a black screen. It seemed really great while it lasted

### 3/5 — Some tabs don’t work, not sure if it’s worth $150/yr

*2025-03-23, version 25.1*

The questions are good and there is a lot of variety, but there are some tabs that do not work and even if you pay the annual fee of $150 there are still some in appt purchases

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Passed ANCC!!

*2026-08-17, version 35.3*

An absolute steal for Board Prep! Do not hesitate. Absolutely Phenomenal app.

### 5/5 — HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

*2026-07-17, version 34.3*

Would highly recommend this app! I just passed my AANP board exam today and used this app. My recommendation is to get the free version of the app while early in school to practice 10 questions a day. Then when you’re getting ready for boards, pay for the full subscription (totally worth it) and take the practice test. The rationales and explanations for each answer and question are incredible and so helpful for learning.

### 5/5 — ANCC FNP passed first try

*2026-07-11, version 34.3*

I’m very happy with this app and website. My program required that we purchase it during clinical year to complete assignments and I’m so glad they did. This is the only resource I used to study for the ANCC FNP boards and passed first try. Practicing questions and reading tip from other students also made me a much more efficient test taker and I was shocked that it only took me just under 2 hrs to complete the 175 questions and pass!

### 5/5 — Highly recommend this App

*2026-07-10, version 34.3*

I highly recommend this app. I used this app, Leik, and other resources. This app played a great role in my success in passing the ANCC FNP exam. The questions are similar to what you see on the board exam and the predictor AANP and ANCC exams are a great study tool if you purchase the subscription. There is also other helpful content on the web version when you pay for the subscription as well. It is a great app!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2026-06-25, version 34.3*

I used this app on my phone but also did questions using the desktop version. I took both practice tests and felt the actual ANCC board exam was very comparable to those! In addition to this app I used Fitzgerald review. Passed on first attempt and felt prepared!!

### 5/5 — I PASSED, SO CAN YOU!

*2026-05-28, version 34.1*

Today is 5/28/2026 and I just got home from the testing center and I cannot believe it BUT I PASSED! I took AANP. I utilized FNP Mastery, the Cohen Review, Scrub Life visual notes/guide, and some APEA that was required by my school. I completed around 1800 questions here, with my average being 67%. On the practice AANP provided by FNP Mastery I scored 77% and ANCC 70%. I took two practice exams provided on the AANP website, the first before I started studying I scored 66%, the second a few days before my exam I scored an 88%. I started hardcore studying for 4 weeks, but I have a streak on here of 107 days as prior to graduating I started doing the free version of this app. I took my test about a month after graduation. If I can do it, so can you! I believe in you all!!! Thank you FNP Mastery Team I TRULY couldn’t have done it without you and your guidance!!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

### 5/5 — Test Prep

*2026-04-29, version 33.4*

This app is amazing for test prep questions

### 5/5 — Quality material, love it ❤️

*2026-04-09, version 33.4*

Comprehensive questions with detailed explanations. High quality materials with pictures included. Love it!

### 5/5 — Best study tool

*2026-04-05, version 33.2*

This was the only study resource I used and I passed the AANP my first try 4/3/26. The questions and rationals FNP mastery provided is superb! It’s like reading a review but with more perks. I was conflicted when trying to pick a study tool . If you are in that position trying to figure out what platform to use you are in the right place!

### 5/5 — The only thing you need

*2026-03-25, version 33.2*

I promise you this app is all you need to study for the board exam. I studied using only this and passed on my first try. It has really in depth rationales, videos and lots of other helpful resources.
