Amazing Biblical teaching that you can access right from your phone. What a blessing! ### 5/5 — A Great Debut! *2011-02-27* Thank you Focal Point and Pastor Mike! God has used you to make me a "thinking-and-studious" Christian. With the FPR App, Pastor Mike Fabarez's "no-nonsense" preaching has never been easier to get! No more shuffling through a CD collection, waiting for the Focal Point program's radio time slot, or waiting for slow downloads (the 1hr 6min sermon on 'Christology' downloaded to my iPhone in 15 seconds). Even when switching between sermons or if you get an incoming call, it continues where you left off. More to come...? Like Alan (review above), I would like to see the library expanded (SO many powerful sermons and series from years past), and some features like being able to "favorite" sermons and some search functions. I'm sure these are on the way. A great debut, Focal Point! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 3/5 — App was great until... *2020-12-02* I loved the app, until they change it. Now you can’t listen to the audio while phone is locked. I could have my phone in my pocket and continue to listen to sermons while going about my day. The update has ruined the experience. I’m very disappointed. Hopefully they fix it very soon. ### 4/5 — Notes feature *2014-12-31* iPhone 6+ iOS 8 notes feature not working. Works on website but not in the app. ### 4/5 — Case Manager *2013-01-16* I like the sermons, very biblically sound. The only problem I notice is that the audio seems weak even on wi-fi. I can barely here it unless I have it plugged into my car sterio. ### 4/5 — Great teaching, great interface *2011-02-26* This is an easy way to keep solid, biblical, teaching at your fingertips - I've been a subscriber to the podcast for a long time, but this gives me easy access to more material than the "3 most recent unheard" that I keep current on my iPhone. Like most of the Church App apps (Grace to You, Ligonier and Truth for Life are all on my iPhone), the interface is solid, intuitive and easy to use. I'd love to see some archived material available - right now, it appears I can only go back one or two sermon series, but perhaps that will change soon. It would also be nice to have some text material available - whether it's daily devotionals, or teaching transcripts - just something to read when listening to audio isn't possible. This will *definitely* be staying on my iPhone! ### 5/5 — Exquisite Bible teaching *2023-03-25* Pastor Mike’s teaching is among the best in the world and God’s been using him mightily to reach the lost with the gospel. I recommend everyone listen to the expositing of God’s word on Focalpoint to know God more and what good biblical preaching sounds like.
