But now they charge for even the simplest features. Now, it struggles selecting the whole subject, cutting off noses, hair, hands, half of bodies. And the edit tool doesn’t work when the photo is zoomed in. So small details are lost and the photo edits look unnatural. Now, the blurring looks bad. Plus, you can't save a photo for free, even if you haven't used the paid features. Subscription prices are incredibly high, and there's no one-time purchase. I'd rather watch 10 ads in a row. But I was astonished on latest download to find it absolutely crippled for use, unless I paid —no kidding, — $9.99 every WEEK. You read that correctly, every WEEK. Why would a developer have such a pricing as their default? I don’t know, but one possibility is that their new business plan includes hoping that people forget to cancel their weekly subscription after the first few days. Just a guess. (Yes, there is a $99 per year subscription plan, but nothing reasonable by the month. And $99 per year is also an astonishingly high price for an app that isn’t handling your entire workflow.) All in all, this bizarre pricing makes me worry that the developer has perhaps been bought out by some predatory firm. I don’t know that to be the case, I am just suspicious that where there is smoke there is fire. It used to be free now you have to pay. Zero stars. ### 1/5 — Paid for lifetime access but most features are gone! *2026-05-19, version 2.11.38* This app used to be my favorite, had awesome features including lighting and many other tools, the bokeh (though artificial) used to be great, now many of those features are gone, bokeh is terrible leaving weird edges around objects and people, exporting would apply changes to a part of the photo but not to the entire frame and so on. It is sad that we can’t trust these companies even when we pay.
