This app takes you all the way through setup and config before revealing that all features are paywalled. There’s no free level with limited functionality. Pay a subscription or look elsewhere. 

Yes, app devs need to eat. But absolute basic functionality with paid extras would help. Or one off payment. Surprise mandatory subscription = instant uninstall.

I love this app and use it every day, but it is very frustrating that the watch app crashes every time you respond to a notification to start the next work or break session. I have to constantly ignore the prompt and manually start the timers inside the app by tapping the clock. Yeah it works still but doing this several times a day it’s getting very annoying really fast.

I’ve been using Focus for years now and have kept an eye on the competition (I write productivity articles online) and none of them have the feel and quality of this fantastic app. Everything just works and the design is conducive to getting things done in a state of perfect flow. My only hope is that they add a Flowmodoro timer at some point in the future to assist with my fiction writing workflows. Brilliant app, highly recommended.

You can’t even run a 25-minute timer without paying for subscription! Why would I buy it without trying out even the basic features? That’s just dumb. Downloaded it, did absolutely nothing, deleted it. I understand that you guys want to make money off of your app, but it’s ridiculous that without buying the yearly subscription with free 7-day trial it’s actually impossible to try it out. First time in my life I had to encounter that. Awful.

If the app cannot be used as a free app it should state so instead of forcing the users to go through 6 clicks to cancel the suggestion of subscription each time they open the app.

App is completely nonfunctional at this time. Loads to a dead white screen. I keep having to go through the obviously fake and unnecessary loading bar every time I open the app. It always leads to a dead white screen. iPhone 17 Pro, latest iOS. Let me know when you’ve fixed it.

This was a great and simple app, good UI and free. Then it got updated and locked everything behind a paywall FOR A TIMER. Maybe for another person it’ll be worth it, but for me I’m afraid I’m out.

You gotta subscribe to start the timer. If u wanna pay th en it might be nice, all im saying is that its a bit stupid that the app itself is free to download but immediately requires you to pay for it to function. Like at least explicitly state that ur timer requires a paid subscription.

You literally have to pay $40 a year to even use this app… and the whole idea of the app is just a slightly more intuitive timer… so $40/yr for a timer.

I’m so tired of every single app having a subscription system when it is 100% not needed. Just more greed

You'll go through a lot of onboarding steps just to realize you can't do anything with this unless you pay them, and there's far less expensive Pomodoro timers out there. I don't know why why these companies want to subscription everybody to death.

Got the Focus app for quite a few years, used it on and off previously. Left it alone and glad I didn’t delete the app! Tried others which were way too complicated and tedious (not to mention waste even more of my time and concentration!) to use. 
Recently got back to using Focus as an attempt to help me get back on track and get on top of the mountain of things to get done. I used it as a personal accountable app for my time used in a day. Working out great although still trying to master the use of it. 
Only thing I wish Focus app can do is have the option to set time needed to complete a task rather than have fixed time for a session.

Honestly, helps me stay focused and love the features! Sometimes it takes a few seconds for my watch to sync to my iPad - but that’s the only thing that I could suggest for improvement.
