That endless loading screen came from a glitch in our email-confirmation step — your email was actually getting verified, but the confirmation page got stuck instead of handing you cleanly back to the app. We've since fixed it, and the fix is already live for everyone — no app update needed. Confirming your email should now complete and drop you right back into the app. (At the time, closing that stuck page and reopening the app would've gotten you in, since the confirmation had already gone through — but I completely agree that isn't the experience we want.)
