Most focus timers hand you a number at the end of the week. This one hands you a city. Set the timer and put the phone down. Every finished session lays another floor on your tower. Put a roof on it and the whole tower moves into a city you build — where it stands for good and pays you rent every day. BUILT ON THE POMODORO TECHNIQUE Work in one focused block, rest, repeat. Twenty-five minutes on, a short break, a longer one after four — the rhythm people have used since the 1980s, except here each block leaves a floor behind. BUILT FOR ATTENTION THAT WANDERS Starting is the hard part, so the app makes starting small: one block, 25 minutes, a reward you can see at the end of it. The shield takes the temptation off the table instead of asking you to out-argue it, and a session survives a locked screen — so a wobble costs you nothing. Version 2.0 gives those sessions somewhere to go: a finished tower moves into a city you build across six lands and keeps paying rent while you study, with new achievements for the city itself. Good luck with the preparation. ### 1/5 — What is about? *2024-06-27* Did I pay for an app to literally watch one image for a set time? I could have done that on my own. Ridiculous! **Developer response:** You were right, and it was a fair thing to say. Version 2.0 is a different app. The tower grows floor by floor while you work, and when you put a roof on it the whole tower moves into a city you build — six lands, twelve plots each — and pays you rent every day after that. There are 32 achievements, automatic Pomodoro cycles with breaks, blocking for the apps that pull you away, and CSV or PDF export of every session you have done. Version 2.0 is also free, and because you bought the app back when it was paid, it gives you a Founder badge and 5,000 coins the first time you open it.
