Don’t spend the money on this I’m sure there is something better and more interactive out there than this app. We used it for a month hoping to find value and have not.

Title explains, 30$ for an app with no social bar where you can check ur progress versus friends / others is silly. No leaderboard is sad. There should be some sort of integration where you can compare levels / distance / achievements / passport to a friends. I’ve convinced 5 friends to buy this app and it’s a shame that there is no way to have a shared experience. Also altitude, speed, and other factors could be added. Every other app (even the free ones) have these features. I know this is a quality > quantity app but please please please it would change everything.

I found this app and love it! I travel for work and go everywhere from Texas to Ohio, from Indiana to the Carolinas. Been playing for about 6 weeks and already level 107. Makes me wanna take alternate routes to uncover more fog. Such a simple and cool concept for anyone who loves to explore!

ただ、最近頻繁に予期せずアプリが終了したと言うような旨の通知が届きます。特別電波が悪いところに行った訳ではなく、自宅にいて動いていない時もです。

I’ve had Fog of World for over 10 years and it’s followed me through multiple phone changes, several partners, and many life changes. Anyone that knows me knows about Fog. 
On the more technical side, the program has always been solid, reliable, and able to handle anything thrown at it (yes I track flights and just need to sit in the window seat). If you just look at the price at face value it doesn’t make sense, but going on over a decade having this app on my home screen, not even social media has gotten that privilege. Long live Fog of World!

I always have this app on (except on airplanes). It takes the stress out of getting lost (“I’m clearing more fog!), it solves arguments (“we’ve never been here before” “ yes, we have”), it’s helped me retrace my steps (“which fork in the trail did I come down?”), and it’s given me a great deal of pleasure to look back at a trip and see all the places I’ve been. 

I like the simplicity. Sure, it’d be fun to have different trips in color, for example. And I have yet to use the awesome new editor to fill in the multiple gaps where there was limited GPS signal. 

I’m always excited to see new places. I only wish I’d had it for some of the travel I did years ago.

i know the price looks scary… however, keep in mind most things would make you pay a subscription for something like this! and it’s super fun to see yourself level up and everything

It’s really cool how I can see where I have visited, it can take up battery, but it’s running in the background 24/7. Not sure if it’s worth 40$, but at this point it’s been 2 years and I don’t care that I spend money on it. There are ZERO in app purchases.
I just want more features like waypoints and a rotatable map.

I really like this app. I played Age of Empires a lot as a kid and play a lot of games with mini maps so this is like a real life combination of the two. It's also very precise. I drive a lot for work so it's cool to see map revealing the various paths I take day-to-day to see the totality in which I travel. I wish I discovered this app years ago, better late than never though. I like how there's achievements. Living in the US, I would love to see an achievement for traveling to all 50 states in America added by the developers.

I paid for this app hoping it would record my travels around the world and it has barely recorded any data at all. I have another free app called Superlocal and in that time it has (imperfectly) recorded everywhere I have travelled. I have tried everything to troubleshoot and I have no explanation for the fact it doesn’t work at all

This app drains my battery very rapidly and has caused performance issues. It has crashed in the background several times and I cannot request a refund.

After letting the app run in the background, it will only track your location for about 5 minutes. The only way to ensure it continues uncovering your path is to leave your phone with the screen on.

I have tried everything to resolve it (battery saver is not on, location always allowed, precise location l), but nothing has fixed the issue.

Sometimes it’s poor signal, sometimes the app just crashes. But it’s inexplicable, an there’s no clear, user-friendly way to fill in gaps with replacement data.

トラックの追加作業をしているとアプリが動かなくなり、再起動しても開かなくなりました。 再起動すると全データが消えてしまい、復旧方法がわかりません。 問い合わせも中国語か英語しか対応していなく困っています。

Love the app. It’s very fun to track where you’ve been and it encourages you to explore different areas in subtle ways. 

Would love to see the ability mark the map with label markers so you could highlight landmarks or places you’ve stayed/visited and date tag it.

I really like this, also helps me out when I need to find and adress where I’ve been. But you gotta make sure the app it’s always open otherwise it won’t track your moves.
