I’ve had the debit card for years. I just got the credit card. Both are easy to use and it’s wonderful getting bitcoin rewards that will increase in value, rather than dollars or airline miles that decrease in value. Gift cards like Amazon, Lowe’s, and many many more are an added bonus. Customer support is always quick to respond. The rewards are nice, but require quite a large transaction fee to send via the Bitcoin network. A cheaper network should be used instead to send the BTC. The notifications are spammy. Fold is constantly pushing its users to purchase gift cards. Daily notifications, sometimes multiple per day. I understand that is how they make their money, but they need to allow users to configure notifications so that we get notifications about banking transactions, but we can opt out of their spam. They also have a great discord channel and Mat_Rix provides app updates, company information, and technical support which further adds tremendous value from this company. Couldn’t be happier and they have just rolled out a credit card in which you can earn Sats back on every purchase. Keep up the amazing work Fold!! ### 2/5 — Holding money hostage *2026-05-25, version 200.33.0* I genuinely want to like this app. I love everything about the idea of injecting bitcoin rewards into my daily financial transactions. however, about once a month if I need to withdraw money to my other bank account I get a random error that says ‘error creating route’ I have been assured by their tech-support that this happen and has been resolved however, it continues to happen and it locks money up that I trusted this company with Helpdesk is usually able to resolve this within a couple days however, if I am in a pinch, it is extremely inconvenient The other functionality is great buying gift cards works flawlessly and they are always valid However, the card also gets randomly declined at places when I have a balance well in excess of the thing that I’m trying to purchase. Mainly gas stations is where it gets declined. This could be. An effect due to it being a prepaid card technically but I’m not sure. However, my biggest frustration is definitely the fact that I cannot withdraw my money well under the limits that they have said when I need it I am an on an iPhone 13 mini on iOS 26.4 but I have the same issue on an iPhone 16e with the same iOS version I am extremely biased because I want this to work more than anything but it has been very frustrating at times. Often times these processes that I have described above are not seamless and it’s extremely embarrassing to have my card declined, especially if I am on a date with a girl And then to not be able to transfer that money money makes it even more inconvenient ### 5/5 — They pay attention to needs to be done *2026-05-13, version 200.32.0* The app keeps getting better. Key words: “used to”. Ever since their IPO in early 2025 ($FLD stock down -90% since then) the cardholder experience has turned into a nightmare. Any bitcoin you buy on their platform is held hostage by them for 7 BUSINESS DAYS. That’s right. It takes 9-10 calendar days to withdraw any bitcoin you buy on the app. One new feature was rolled out in 2025 - a bitcoin gift card, something nobody asked for or wanted. They’ve advertised a credit card for the last 15 months, and as of April 22 2026, users who show they are mere hundreds on the waitlist still have not received their cards. The execution is so pathetic and their transparency to customers has dropped to outright insulting levels. The Gemini CC, the Robinhood CC, and the Coinbase CC all offer FAR greater rewards than what Fold has advertised (again, 15 months have passed and barely any actual customers have this card). I couldn’t be more happy that I cancelled my Fold+ sub — something their CEO said in January 2026 would be going away in Q1. Looks like that didn’t happen either! Hopefully the inept leadership sells the company so that an actual team of people who can provide actual value can step in and try to salvage this trainwreck. Though honestly, I don’t expect this company to be around for much longer. Their user growth is breathtakingly low. Red flag after red flag after red flag. Use a different app, card, and/or service. LOVE. The sats reward structure was unmatched and the team seemed to really care about issues brought up by users. Boy could that not be any different after the last several years now. No new gift card offerings, no new product offerings - they marketed a bitcoin credit card for the last 15 months just to still be telling people today that they’re “rolling it out” — to what, 15 users? The team’s pace of execution has screeched to a pathetic standstill. And worst of all? They’re no longer anywhere close to top of market for rewards. Gemini credit card has this one beat 7 ways to Sunday - MUCH higher rewards back, no insane 10 day lockup period like the one Fold recently stated subjecting their customers to. I personally can’t wait until the current team of low lives sells the company to a conglomerate who may actually make an earnest effort to deliver value to users (I won’t even mention shareholders, who have been destroyed by egregious Fold leadership). TLDR - forget this sad card and just get the Gemini CC, which is objectively better in every way ### 1/5 — Status 400 Error *2026-04-04, version 200.23.1* I can’t even send bitcoin from here without facing the constant issue of getting a status 400 error message. Nothing on this in their FAQ and I’ve deleted, downloaded, and updated things a million times. Nothing.
