## What is Foldaroo?

Foldaroo teaches K-6 math so it makes sense. Most skills start with pictures, move to numbers, then to word problems. If your child has fallen behind, Foldaroo begins where the gaps are, not at their school grade.

Pay once. No subscription. No ads. No accounts. Works offline. Kindergarten and 1st grade are free, and one purchase by a grown-up unlocks everything else.

SEE IT, TRY IT, SOLVE IT
Each of the 97 skills is learned in three small steps:
• See it: most skills open with pictures, such as ten frames, number lines and fraction bars
• Try it: practice the same idea with numbers
• Solve it: use the skill on word problems and harder questions

STARTS IN THE RIGHT PLACE
A short, friendly warm-up finds where your child should begin. It is not a test. A 4th grader with gaps in 2nd grade math starts by filling those gaps.

New skills open when the skills they depend on are in place. If a step keeps going wrong, the app steps back to the skill underneath it for a quick power-up, then returns.

MISTAKES ARE PART OF LEARNING
A wrong answer gets a clue and another try. If it is still tricky, the app works through the solution one step at a time. The lesson then ends with extra practice.

WHAT YOUR CHILD LEARNS, GRADE BY GRADE
97 skills. The app follows the US Common Core standards:
• Kindergarten math: counting to 20, more or less, adding and taking away within 10, making 10, teen numbers, shapes
• 1st grade math: addition and subtraction within 20, missing numbers, tens and ones, comparing numbers, telling time, reading graphs, halves and fourths
• 2nd grade math: doubles, even and odd, hundreds, tens and ones, skip-counting, adding and subtracting to 1,000, counting coins, time, measuring length
• 3rd grade math: multiplication, times tables, division facts, rounding, fractions on a number line, area, perimeter, two-step problems
• 4th grade math: place value to a million, multiplying by one- and two-digit numbers, dividing big numbers, factors and primes, equivalent fractions, adding and subtracting fractions, decimals, angles
• 5th grade math: decimals to thousandths, order of operations, adding and subtracting unlike fractions, multiplying fractions, volume, the coordinate grid
• 6th grade math: ratios, unit rates, percent, dividing fractions, negative numbers, exponents, expressions and equations, mean, median, mode and range

HOPPER READS IT ALOUD
Hopper, the paper frog, reads every question and clue in a warm, clear voice, and the worked steps up to 2nd grade. With read-aloud on, lessons use more than 5,000 recorded questions.

PRACTICE THAT DOES NOT RUN OUT
With read-aloud off, questions are created fresh every time. A quick daily workout brings back older skills.

A PAPER FOLD EVERY FIVE STARS
Each grade is its own world, from Clover Meadow to Star Summit. Each star your child earns draws a crease on a flat sheet of paper. Every five stars, the sheet folds into a new Fold: an origami-style paper frog, butterfly, fish, rocket and more, each in 5 colors of paper, 60 in all. Your child picks a first Fold as a buddy that cheers them on. No timers and no lives.

FOR PARENTS
• Up to six children on one device, each with their own path
• Hopper's voice is computer-generated
• The Grown-ups area shows minutes practiced, first-try accuracy, progress by grade and which skills need a hand

SAFE BY DESIGN
• No ads
• No accounts and no personal information collected
• No tracking or analytics
• No links out of the app
• Works without the internet
• Purchases and settings sit behind a parental gate

ONE PURCHASE, NO SUBSCRIPTION
Foldaroo is free to download. Kindergarten and 1st grade are free in full, along with the first two skills of every other grade, so your child can try their own level first. A single in-app purchase unlocks the other 63 skills in 2nd to 6th grade, for every child on the device. Nothing renews. A grown-up makes the purchase in the Grown-ups area, and the unlocked app keeps working offline.
