## What is Foldcard?

Writing the cards is the hard part. Foldcard makes them from the study guide you already have, then lets you review them in two-minute gaps of your day.

Open the phone and your PDF sits on one side. Highlight a sentence, tap the words to hide, press Keep: a card in three taps, with the page it came from. Fold the phone shut and a review starts with the cards you just made. Stand it half open on the desk and review hands-free.

MAKE CARDS FROM YOUR GUIDE
• Cloze and question-and-answer cards from any sentence in a PDF, in any language, offline.
• Suggestions from the page itself: bold terms, definitions, lists, table rows and numbers.
• With Apple Intelligence, extra question suggestions written on this iPhone. Nothing leaves your phone.
• Every card links back to its document and page, so the context is one tap away.
• Printed pages too: scan them with the camera or pick photos of pages, and Foldcard reads the text on your iPhone.
• Write your own cards too, and keep them in decks.

REVIEW IN SHORT GAPS
• Modern spaced repetition (FSRS) picks what is due, so a few minutes a day is enough.
• Again, Hard, Good or Easy, each with the next interval shown, all within reach of your thumb.
• Set your exam date and see how ready you are, day by day.
• A streak that never shames you, and Nimbus, a small cloud that grows with the cards you master.
• One gentle daily reminder, only when cards are due.

BRING THE CARDS YOU ALREADY HAVE
• Import your Anki decks (.apkg). Question-and-answer cards keep their review history, so nothing starts over.
• Share a PDF, photos of pages or a deck file to Foldcard from any app.
• Ask the AI chat app on your Mac to turn your notes into cards. A free helper from foldcard.groovio.dev/ai/ saves them to your iCloud Drive, and Foldcard adds them as a deck.

ALWAYS ONE TAP AWAY
• A widget for the Home Screen, the Lock Screen and StandBy shows how many cards are due.
• Start a review or add a card with Siri, Shortcuts or the Action button.
• Find any card from Spotlight.

BUILT AROUND THE HINGE
• Open: create. Closed: one-handed review. Half open: hands-free review.
• Works on every iPhone too, with one column instead of two.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account and no ads. Your cards and sources stay on your iPhone and sync only through your private iCloud. No data collected.
