No app can make gambling impossible on an iPhone. That is how iOS is built, and any blocker promising otherwise is lying to you. Fold'em starts from that truth. It blocks with the strongest layer that exists, Apple's own Screen Time, and then adds the one layer no app can fake: people. If protection drops, someone you trust is told. If you want out early, someone you trust has to agree. Gambling stops being something you can do quietly. HOW THE BLOCKING WORKS • Betting apps: sealed with Apple's own Screen Time, the deepest blocking layer an iPhone has. • Betting sites: caught with an encrypted DNS shield built for one job. Not a VPN: most blockers tunnel your whole phone through one, which slows everything, breaks other apps, and still has an off switch. Fold'em never touches your traffic, so your banking, your email and your speed stay exactly as they were. • App deletion protection: the optional deletion lock closes the delete button. While it is on, no app on this phone can be deleted, and turning it off takes a 72 hour countdown your keyholder can see. • Server side timers: your unlock date lives on our servers, not on your phone. Changing settings or the clock does not end a term. THE CIRCLE Pick one person you trust: a partner, a parent, a friend. If protection is switched off on your phone, they are told. No blame, no details, just a nudge to check in with you. They approve an early exit in person, from a card in their Apple Wallet. You cannot approve your own exit. They can deny from anywhere. Going solo instead? An early exit waits a full 14 days either way. They see that protection holds and how far you have come: their card shows your day count, your milestones and the state at a glance. They never see what you browse or what you spend. There is no app to install on their side. The invite is a link; their surface is a Wallet card. THE BLOCKLIST ONLY GROWS Adding an app or a site takes a moment. Removing anything waits until your term ends. You pick what gets sealed: sportsbooks, casino apps, daily fantasy, up to 50 apps at a time. The web shield catches gambling sites in every browser on this phone. You switch it on once in Settings; the app guides you there. WHEN THE URGE HITS SOS is one tap away: guided breathing, grounding, quick games to keep your hands busy, and the people in your circle. In the US the National Problem Gambling Helpline, 1-800-522-4700, is right there too; other regions see their local service. WHAT YOU KEEP • Money taken back: watch what you did not lose add up, week by week. • A gambling free clock that never stops counting. • A home screen widget keeps the count in sight, and on the lock screen it names no habit. Only you know what HELD means. • Your block screen, your voice: seven voices for the wall you hit, from gentle to roast me, or your own words. Optional motivation lines through the day, in the voice you picked. THE COMMITMENT Protection runs with no end date by default, or to a fixed date you choose, at least one month out. Terms never end silently. A subscription is required and protection holds only while it is active. Plans run 1, 3 or 12 months, and every plan starts with a free trial. If your subscription lapses, the apps unblock after a grace window and your keyholder is told. That is the deal: the lock is real, so the safety net is real too.
