I even paid for the app so that the ads wouldn’t pop up. I would like a refund because I am no longer able to access my information. This has been going on for several months and all they say is don’t delete the app. The app on my end was already deleted before they said not to and when asked what to do no response given. They have ignored every single email that I have sent to them. Now, after being forced to create an account, it appears I have lost every single file I had entrusted this app to protect. All folders empty. Why? & yeah, I could have had a backup of those files, but backing up files I have stored in a masked & locked app kinda defeats the entire purpose of using this type of app in the first place. Whatever. My stuff seems to have just vanished & I am none too pleased about it. ### 1/5 — No more PIN or Password? *2025-02-02, version 10.0.13* I recently changed phones and found that the Folder Lock app no longer lets me use the app without signing up with my email and password. This is where I store my passwords and credit card details; now you want my email too? They made a software update that made all the data I had in the app impossible to access. So essentially they erased all my data. ### 1/5 — Pathetic App of all time. *2025-01-09, version 10.0.13* After updating the iOS to 18.2 the app just crashes everytime I open “Notes” section within the FolderLock app it shows “Migration in Progress” and then just crashes, they claim to respond within 24 hours of business day, it has been more than a week and I still haven’t received a response from them. Even after paying $30 this is the service the end user gets. Forcing people to use subscription model and still not delivering. ### 1/5 — Lost Facescan Login Ability due to update?! *2025-01-03* After using this app for years on multiple devices suddenly after this most recent IPhone update I need a email to log in? And it no longer will take my face scan as a login. I never used a email to log in before and still don’t need to on my other devices. I can still use facescan with no problem. I am unable to login on my current phone and nothing is updated or recovered on Folderlock that I have installed on older devices! This is terrible I had some important information saved and now can’t access anything because of an update?! I need this fixed ASAP. I went off to the military for 6 years but I wasn’t living under a rock, so I don’t understand the direction these people chose to go—the app was perfect how it was before. You can’t even set up a pin anymore? That’s ridiculous. I had to set up a physical password to access my account again but doing so made me lose the previously encrypted data associated to the old password. So now I just have an empty slate. I see folders listed but they all claim to be empty now and no option to recover them.
