## What is Foldiq?

Your Photos Library, finally organized — without risking a single original.
Foldiq exports clean, date-sorted copies of your photos and videos from the Photos app into Files: iCloud Drive, On My iPhone/iPad, or a USB drive. Your originals never move, change, or get deleted — Foldiq only ever creates organized copies.
How it works

Pick specific photos and videos, or scan your whole Photos Library.
Choose how you want them organized.
Pick a destination in Files and tap Export.
Open Files to find a tidy, dated folder structure — copies only, originals untouched.

Smart organization
Organize by Year, Year & Month, Exact Date, GPS Location, or the recommended Smart Hybrid mode that combines date and place. Foldiq uses the real capture date from each item's metadata — not the file's modified date — so your timeline stays correct even for photos that were shared, forwarded, or saved from WhatsApp. When the date is missing, Foldiq reads it straight from the filename.
Live Photos stay whole
Live Photos export as a matching pair — the still and its motion video together — so nothing is lost. Re-import them and they pair back into a Live Photo automatically.
Smart re-exports
Run an export again and Foldiq skips everything it already saved, without re-downloading anything from iCloud. Add new photos later and only the new ones get exported. If a file you exported gets deleted from the destination, Foldiq notices and re-creates it.
Built for big libraries
Export to a USB drive or external SSD straight from the Files app. Foldiq checks for free space before it starts and, if a drive fills up mid-export, stops cleanly and picks up right where it left off next time. iCloud-optimized originals download automatically as they're exported.
What Foldiq exports
Photos and videos from your Photos Library, including HEIC, JPEG, PNG, RAW, MOV, and MP4 — always the true original, ignoring in-app edits.
Private by design
Everything happens on your device. No account, no sign-up, no ads, and Foldiq never uploads your photos or metadata to any Foldiq server. Your library stays yours.
