## What is Foliade?

Foliade turns your pile of paperwork into a searchable, private archive - entirely on your iPhone.

Scan letters with the camera, or import PDFs, photos, Office documents, and whole zip archives. Foliade reads every page on-device, names the sender, files the type, and pulls out dates and amounts - so a bill from 2020 is one search away.

- Scan or import anything: PDF, Word, spreadsheets, photos, zips
- Every word searchable - recognised text, titles, senders, dates
- Automatic filing: sender, type, tags, document date, amounts
- A review queue confirms suggestions in one tap
- The Vault: Face ID-protected, encrypted storage for sensitive documents
- Export everything, any time - your documents are never locked in
- No account, no tracking, nothing uploaded: Foliade has no cloud - your documents stay on your iPhone, covered only by your own device backup
- On-device smart filing - uses Apple Intelligence on supported iPhones

All of that is free, forever. The one-time Foliade Complete unlock adds conveniences for larger libraries: meaning-based search, unlimited collections and Vault documents, large folder imports, bulk actions, Shortcuts and Siri automation, monthly spending totals, auto-filing rules, and themes.

Foliade works on every iPhone it installs on. Smart filing suggestions are at their best on iPhones with Apple Intelligence; older devices use a lighter built-in classifier - reading, search, and everything else work everywhere.

## Version history (last 1 release)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-01

What's New in 1.0.1
A better scanner. Frame your document and press the shutter, with pinch-to-zoom to get in close. Each capture becomes its own document, and a new multi-page mode combines captures when one document has several pages. Scans come out straight, cropped, and true to what you framed.

Collections, made easy. Add a document to a collection straight from its own page, add documents from inside any collection with the new + button, and delete a collection you no longer need - your documents always stay safe in the library.

Foliade now opens in its signature light look by default. Switch on "Use System Theme" in Appearance if you prefer following your devices theme.

Plus small layout and clarity improvements throughout.
