Repeated time and time again, FAIL! My kids’ school uses this app through the entire district. I notified the school department today of its repeated, consistent and continuing malfunctions. The committee will be reviewing another program to be used district wide to replace this complete debacle. Update the app or shut down! If notifications come in a banner but the app display is completely blank, what is the purpose??? It’s been more than a month. Update: 2/8/21 Did it crash? I keep deleting, downloading and relogging in and there is no display at all. But the notifications for grades keep coming in. Annnnnd I cannot contact app support because despite the circle of deleting, downloading, etc it insists I do not have an account. But yet, the notifications on an account that I do not have. 1st review: LOL, no one read this either obviously. Could we please separate the kids notifications? Every notification comes into the same window. If you can start by separating the kids, you can at least know which notification applies to which child for later reference. My plan is to store the notifications until the marking period closes and then clear them all out. But with everything mixed together, it is extremely difficult to access the individual information. Sorry, I’m one of THOSE parents that actually want to access the information of my kids grades and ask them questions about it! Update: 2/8/21 Did it crash? It helped me keep track of my grades and was extremely useful, especially when I was anxious about a test. But as of this 2020-21 school year, it is broken almost completely. I still receive notifications about an assignment grade, but if I click to open the details it will disappear. My grade log is blank. It is still useful to some extent, which is why I gave it two stars, but I wouldn’t really recommend installing this until it gets fixed. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — URL doesn’t work *2024-12-09, version 1.2* I cannot even get into this app. I have followed the instructions for copying the URL and it still says it’s wrong. It was working fine for a number of years, but now it has completely stopped working. I waited a few days but still nothing, when I check the website teachers had recently posted grades but did not show up in the app. The setting menu also has no function and just says error every time. ### 1/5 — Good Idea, Terrible Execution. *2022-08-27* You are happy to find the app in the store, the login looks legit and takes the schools URL and login credentials. Then you get updated from the school (outside of Aspen) that info is posted on ASPEN… but all you can see is the “Welcome…” notification with options to view the About, Settings and can Logout. I waited a week to see if anything would sync up and nothing. I ended up just logging in via a browser and making a “homepage” link on my phone - so much easier! It’s been 7-8 years since an update (2014?). I’ll take this is a clear sign as to why this app is not posted anywhere on the school systems sites?? Perhaps there’ll be an update soon with much better overall functionality with the app. It could be a great, useful, informative and up-to-date app too! ### 1/5 — Does not work *2022-05-04, version 1.2* This app literally does not work every time I open I just have a blank white screen. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2022-02-10* I hope the services provided by this company are free to our schools because everything about these systems is crap. The website and the app are just utterly useless. This whole system has zero redeeming qualities. I wish I could rate it zero stars. Have you turned of the notifications and turned it on again? It may not help but try it.
