## What is Follow Suit Solitaire?

Follow Suit is solitaire with a twist of word association. No ads, no tracking, and one purchase if you want every level. The cards carry words instead of suits, and a card stacks on another only when the two belong together, so you follow suit by meaning: Perseids on Meteor Trail, Sourdough on Baguette. Spot the link, build the run, and deliver every category to its pile before the moves or the clock run out.

EASY TO PICK UP
- Tap or drag. Tap a card to send it home, or drag a whole run between columns.
- An Ace opens its category's pile in a foundation slot. Deliver exactly the right word cards to complete it.
- Slots are scarce: finished piles retire to make room for the next Ace. Sequencing them is the strategy.
- Long-press any card to read its word large.

A REAL CHALLENGE
- 500 handcrafted levels, identical for every player, from gentle Cakewalks to Super Hard bosses.
- A move budget and a countdown clock: every draw and every drop counts. Prefer no clock? Relaxed mode is a switch away.
- More than 800 categories and over 5,000 words: geography, food, games, music, animals, and plenty of surprises.
- Picture stacks from level 21: categories made of pictures instead of words.
- Theme Packs: twelve themed ladders of 20 levels each, from Game Day and Menagerie to Kitchen Table, Passport and Time Machine. 240 more levels, each pack opening as you climb.

A PUZZLE EVERY DAY
- The Daily Challenge deals one puzzle a day, the same deal for every player, free for everyone.
- Boards for the day and for all time, under a name you pick from our lists. No real names, ever.
- A Home Screen widget keeps your streak, the day's puzzle and the pack you are working through one tap away.

DUEL A FRIEND
- Share a 6-letter code and you both get the exact same deal. Best result wins the bragging rights.
- No chat, no strangers: six preset reactions and a rematch button.
- Joining a friend's duel is always free.

A LITTLE EVERY DAY
- Finish a game and the day counts toward your streak. A day off never ends it, two in a row start a new one, and your best is kept. No reminders, ever.
- Beat a boss level and a Bonus Round waits on the menu: nine cards, three rows, no clock. Swap until every row follows suit and bank the coins.
- Statistics keep the long view: games, wins, time played, best score, and every pack and deck you have collected.

THE PIGGY BANK
- Win levels and pull off bonuses (three-in-a-rows, full-stack drops) to earn coins.
- Coins rescue a level at the moment it slips away: extra moves or extra seconds, right when you need them.
- Coins buy new card backs as you climb the tiers.
- Coins are earned by playing, never bought.

THE DEAL
- The first 10 levels are free. After that, one new level a day is free, forever.
- One purchase unlocks all 500 levels and opens every theme pack at once, on every device signed in to your account, shared with your family.
- No ads. No subscriptions. Nothing else to buy, ever.
- Play anonymously. Link Sign in with Apple only if you want your progress to follow you across devices, even mid-game.
- Undo generously; retry any level with a fresh deal.

One more stack before bed. Then one more.

### 5/5 — Best Game Ever!

*2026-09-17*

This game is easy to play but challenges the brain as you associate words and categories. I love that if you can play for free while learning the game but then you have the option of getting rid of playing with no annoying ads EVER! I have played games that I have bought to be ad free but you are always asked to buy more “coins”. Not this game! It’s exactly what I was looking for.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-09-26

FAIRER WITH ASSISTS OFF
With Assists switched off, dragging a card over a founded Ace pile no longer lights the pile up and gives the answer away. Empty columns and free slots still glow, because they take any card.

A GENTLER ASK
If you enjoy the early levels, we may ask once for a rating after a clean win. Never mid-game, never after a loss, and never more than Apple allows.

SAVED GAMES STAY SAVED
With two games waiting behind the menu, opening the Daily or starting a duel now asks you to finish one of them first, instead of quietly replacing one. A Daily you've started waits for you to finish it before a duel or a Theme Pack level can begin, the way a paused duel does. And the Daily is one deal played through, so its header no longer offers a new game.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-21

THE TIME MACHINE
A twelfth Theme Pack, and a new kind of stack to go with it. Its categories run in order: Monday before Tuesday, sprout before blossom, and a pile will only take the next step in the sequence. Twenty levels of decades, weekdays and things that grow.

YOUR NAME, YOUR CHOICE
Pick your board name from our lists instead of keeping the one you were given, and change it whenever you like. Every board you already appear on updates to match.

STATISTICS
A new page for the long view: games played and won, time at the table, best score, coins earned, your streak and its best, and every pack and deck you have collected. Open it from the menu footer or from Settings.

A HOME SCREEN WIDGET
Your streak, whether today's Daily is still waiting, and the pack you are working through, all one tap from the Home Screen.

IPAD, IN LANDSCAPE
The header now stands down the left edge instead of lying across the top, which gives the columns half again as much height. Tall deals no longer run off the bottom of the screen.

FAIRER LEVELS
Some deals opened with fewer foundation slots than others of the same difficulty, and a slot is also a column, so those levels were far harder than intended. They now get the extra moves that shortfall deserves. Nothing you have already beaten got harder.

SMOOTHER PLAY
The autosave after every move now writes away from the main thread, so card flips and runs to the piles no longer catch on it. Completed piles also leave their slot the moment they finish rather than on your next move.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-14

THEME PACKS
Eleven themed ladders of 20 levels each, from Game Day and Menagerie to Kitchen Table, Passport and Around Town: 220 more levels, dealt only from that theme's categories. Packs open as you climb the tiers (all at once with the unlock), the first two levels of every open pack are free, and finishing a pack pays a 500-coin bonus.

A STREAK THAT NEVER NAGS
Finish a game and the day counts. A day off never ends a streak, two in a row start a new one, and your best is kept. It shows on the menu and the win page only after you have played, and it never sends a reminder.

THE BONUS ROUND
Beat a boss level and a Bonus Round waits on the menu: nine cards, three rows, no clock. Swap cards until every row follows suit and bank the coins.

ALSO
Likeness Stacks is now Follow Suit: you play a card onto another by following suit in meaning rather than in spades or hearts, so the name finally says what the game does. Same game, same levels, same progress and purchase. Card faces are now painted once and kept, so deals, drags and flights to the piles run smoother, and the home screen and Decks got a tidy-up.
