## What is FOMO Circles?

Your best moments deserve better than a feed full of strangers.

FOMO Circles is a private space for the people who actually matter — your family, your best friends, your gym crew, your travel group. No followers. No algorithm. No one you didn't invite.

Make a circle for every part of your life. Share to one or several at once. That's it. That's the app.

WHY IT FEELS DIFFERENT

- Bump to share — tap phones with someone nearby and they're in your circle instantly. No usernames, no QR codes, no "what's your handle?"
- Shoot inside the app — capture photos and video without ever saving them to your camera roll. What happens in the circle stays in the circle.
- On This Day — see what your circles were doing one, two, five years ago today, right on your profile. Small groups make the best memories, and FOMO brings them back.
- Private by default — only your circles see your content. There is no public profile to manage.

EVERYTHING ELSE YOU'D EXPECT, DONE RIGHT

- Unlimited circles — family, friends, teams, the wedding party, whoever
- Post one photo or video to several circles with a single tap
- React with emojis and keep the conversation going in comments
- Chat 1-on-1 or as a group with anyone in your circles
- Explore recently active people you already know

WHAT YOU WON'T FIND

No likes to chase. No suggested accounts. No ranked feed deciding which of your friends you get to see. No ads pretending to be posts. Just the people you chose, in the order things actually happened.

WHO IT'S FOR

- Families spread across cities who want more than a group text
- Friend groups who are done posting for an audience
- New parents who want to share every photo — with grandparents, not the internet
- Anyone who left the big social apps and misses their people, not the feed

Download FOMO Circles and bring the people you love closer — one memory at a time.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.2.5 — 2026-09-04

Performance optimizations and stability improvements for a better user experience.

### 3.2.4 — 2026-09-03

Posting
• Pick the shape of your post — a new shape button in the editor tools, just under On This Day, offers 9:16, 3:4, 4:5, 1:1, 5:4, 4:3 and 16:9. Tap one and the canvas takes that shape, and that is the shape your post publishes at.
• 9:16 is still the default — and it still uses the whole screen exactly as before. Nothing about your posts changes unless you choose a different shape.
• Choose the shape first — once you have added text, stickers, a filter or a crop, the shape locks, so nothing you placed ever has to move.
• Videos too — a landscape video posted at 16:9 comes out 16:9 and sharp, instead of being squeezed into a tall frame.
• What you see is what you post — the preview after you tap Next now shows the exact shape you chose, rather than stretching it back over the whole screen.

The feed and fullscreen
• Cards take the post’s shape — a square post is square in the feed and a landscape one is landscape. Every post already out there looks exactly as it did.
• Fullscreen shows the whole post — open a square or landscape post and it sits centered with black bars above and below, instead of being cropped to fill the screen.

Photos and videos
Circle photos and videos load faster — they now come straight from our delivery network. Before, every one of them quietly failed there first and had to be fetched a second time from storage, so you waited twice for the same picture.
Less waiting on a slow connection — that wasted first attempt is gone, which shows up most on mobile data and when scrolling quickly.

The feed
No more mystery gap between posts — when an ad had nothing to show, it left an unexplained space behind. Now the feed closes up as if the slot was never there.
Fewer ad slots when there is little to show — rather than reserving space every couple of posts and leaving most of it empty, the spacing widens on its own until there is real variety to fill it.
More variety in the ads you do see — the same one repeating over and over was partly our own doing, and the rules that caused it have been relaxed.

Fixes
Recently active people show up again — a search on Explore was looking at the wrong record and quietly returned nobody.

### 3.2.2 — 2026-08-25

FOMO Verified
Invite 5 friends, get the blue badge — verification is no longer a form you fill in and wait on. Bring five people to fomo and the badge is yours automatically, the moment the fifth invite goes out. No ID photos, no review queue, no waiting.
You can see how close you are — a progress bar sits on the invite page and in Settings, filling in as each friend is invited. The fifth one is worth showing up for.
Only unique people count — texting the same number twice counts once.

Inviting people
A proper invite page — your contacts with their photos, so you recognise people at a glance instead of reading down a list of names.
One tap sends — tap a friend and their message opens already written and already addressed. Hit send and you’re straight back to the list, with a check next to whoever you just invited.
Search by name or number — find one person in a list of hundreds without scrolling.
Friends with more than one number — tap them and pick which number to text.
Everyone gets their own message — no group thread full of people who don’t know each other.
One link that works everywhere — your invite now sends iPhone friends to the App Store and Android friends to Google Play, automatically. Before, an invite could land your friend on a store page they couldn’t install from.
Invite from anywhere — there’s a person icon at the top left of Explore that opens the invite page any time.
Your contacts stay on your phone — fomo never uploads them. Only the friends you choose get a text, and it comes from you.

Fixes
The first invite after opening the app remembers who you picked — it used to open an empty message the first time and only work from the second try on.
Your badge shows up straight away — the profile no longer waits for a refresh to notice you’ve been verified.
The celebration only happens once — it was congratulating you again on every invite after the fifth.

### 3.1.11 — 2026-08-23

Ads, rebuilt from the ground up.
Ads
Ads load like posts now — every ad has a fixed spot in the feed, held by a shimmering placeholder that fills in right where it sits as you scroll. Nothing shifts, nothing shuffles, ever.
They don’t run out — ads keep appearing no matter how far you scroll, and scrolling back up never makes them vanish. If there’s nothing to show yet, the app keeps quietly trying until there is.
No repeats next to each other — the same ad can’t appear twice nearby. Brands rotate through the feed the way you’d expect.
Every ad is the same size — ad cards share one fixed shape, so the feed never jumps when one arrives.

Reporting
Reporting an ad removes it — report an ad or ask to see less like it, and it disappears on the spot.
