FondFont makes actual font installation on iPad actually possible. For that, it gets 4 stars. The usual possibilities for font installation are confined to the Apple walled garden. With FondFont, you *can* install your own fonts. This said, the process is quite a kludge. You must be patient with larger fonts (+1mb), as the process requires FondFont to send a font to the OS boxed up as a configuration file, then go through the labourous iPad/iOS password process. This is generally good, as it ensures some security for these configs. But it may need several tries to get the font accepted, as iOS doesn’t leave much time for the package to wait for your ok. Have the “VPN & Device” section of “General” in Settings open as you install fonts. Just try a few times. If the font is good, you can get it done, even for very large fonts. Thank you to the dev who maintains this project. 多謝。

This app needs some instructions! Fortunately found a site that showed me how to do this...
1) airdrop a .ttf or .otf file onto my iPAD, 
2) select “FondFont” to open it with, and it adds it to the FondFont, library.
3) select each font you want and hit “install”, it will launch some dialogue windows that you have to allow and then close.
4) Go to Settings, General, Profiles, select the font, then install and follow dialogue windows.

There is no support on how to even use this and no fonts I can use and I want my money back so I can delete the app and not have it take up space on my phone!!!!!

The app works very well, despite the reviews, you just have to figure out how.  You also have to supply your own fonts.

My one issue is that there is no support for Touch/Face ID so every time you install a font you have to enter your password.  I just got a new phone and none of the fonts I previously installed were restored.  So I guess an option for iCloud/iTunes backup would be nice.

무료폰트 설치해봤는데 잘됩니다.
설치 안된다는분들 유튜브에도 간단 강좌있으니 따라해보세요. 
사파리에서 폰트다운->폰드폰트로 오픈->인스톨->아이패드 설정(프로파일)에 들어가면 서체 인스톨하라고 뜰거에요.
저는 한번 테스트해보고 잘되서 NAS에 통째로 올려서 설치했습니다. 하나씩 인스톨해야하는게 귀찮고 설정에서 프로파일 설치해줘야 하는게 귀찮지만.... 
그래도 앞으로 폰트걱정 안할걸 생각하니 너무 좋습니다.

저도 자꾸 인스톨 누르면 프로파일로 넘어가고 아무창도 안떴는데요 (저 같은 경우 여러개 동시 시도) 혹시나 싶어 하나만 인스톨 했더니 깔렸습니다 그 이후에는 여러개도 같이 깔리더라구요 혹시 안된다면 시도해보세요 ios11 입니다
