You can't do that with cards! I am disappointed that there are no blends or phonological processes, it only has straight up consonant sounds. If you add blends, I will change my aging to a five! ### 4/5 — Really helpful app *2011-03-11, version 2.0* I am not a bilingual SLP and I still find this app really helpful. I am occasionally asked to screen ESOL kiddos and this is a great tool to use without having to make arrangements for our bilingual SLP to come out. I can hear as they say the words whether they can make their sounds or whether to contact the bilingual SLP. The only thing that could be improved would be if they had the directions to the SLP in both English and Spanish. But even with all Spanish tabs, it is easy to navigate and figure out. I need more Spanish therapy materials. ### 1/5 — Great app until the recent iOS update, now non-functional *2020-11-08* This was a great app, one of my favorite ones, before the latest iOS update, now it does not open on my iPad Pro which is a new iPad Pro with the latest iOS. I emailed the developers and they were helpful explaining why that is happening, however, for those of us who paid for this app and can no longer use it, it is a great loss. Hope they can fix the iOS compatibility problem the app is having in some iPads. ### 1/5 — CRASHES ON iPad *2012-01-27, version 2.9* Great updates, unfortunately it keeps crashing on the iPad. Once again, I cannot use this in therapy :( by the time you are done picking out the targets, you get through a couple of pics and it crashes. It really wastes a lot of time during my sessions. All buttons are in Spanish so very difficult for an English therapist to use. Very few words per phoneme. Does not say the words for you. Your better off making your own spanish flashcards. Definitely a waste of $20 ### 1/5 — Very disappointing *2010-10-11* This product would be great, if not for some of the photos which depict a negative stereotype of Hispanic life, such as a fridge stocked with beer for “refrigerador” and a shack for “casa”. I use this on iPhone and the sound is so low that the repeat function is virtually useless. The pictures are okay. At this price it would be nice if there was a matching game option included. ### 4/5 — Love it, but hoping for a few bug fixes. *2016-06-14* Great resource that I use frequently, but I've noticed that when I select different targets for different students, only the targets for the last selected student show up. Also, all of the syllable counts for words show up as 0 syllables. I also wish that the student selected switched automatically when swiping to the next picture, like in the Articulate It app. Great app overall! Just has a couple of quirks. ### 4/5 — Frijoles *2016-03-13, version 4.0* Hello: I went to the Fort Worth convention 2016 and I talked with the producer of this app.she told me that they will fix "frijoles " because every time that I touched frijoles take me out of the app. I hope they do it. It allows me to work on speech sounds in any position of words and, best of all, it allows me to select and deselect words to give me control over what target words I will use and how many. I havent used it with my bilingual students yet, but based on my experience with English MAP- I am sure it will be great! The best thing about MAP is that it uses real images- not drawings of objects like most materials out there.
