## What is FontCanvas?

MAKE AN ORIGINAL FONT, NOT JUST A LETTERING IMAGE

FontCanvas is a complete offline font maker for drawing glyphs, reusing components, tuning spacing, proofing words, and exporting a real TrueType font. It is designed for lettering artists, type-design learners, indie creators, and anyone who wants a focused pocket foundry.

DRAW EDITABLE GLYPHS
• Move outline nodes with Select.
• Build precise straight contours with Pen.
• Turn Freehand gestures into closed editable outlines.
• Insert rectangle and oval contours.
• Pan and zoom without changing your artwork.
• Import SVG paths you own or have permission to use.

REUSE LINKED COMPONENTS
Create a stem, bowl, serif, or other source once and link it across characters. Edit the source to update every connected glyph, or transform, flip, and detach an individual instance while preserving its appearance.

SPACE AND PROOF YOUR TYPE
Adjust side bearings, advance widths, and pair kerning against a live preview. Inspect the result as a glyph, word, paragraph, waterfall, or specimen before exporting.

EXPORT USEFUL FILES
FontCanvas validates the project, explains blocking structural issues, and produces a TrueType font, SVG glyph sheet, editable project archive, and PDF specimen.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No cloud upload. No analytics, ads, tracking, subscription, trial, or in-app purchase. Your projects stay on your device unless you explicitly share an export.

FontCanvas is a one-time paid download. Pan moves the canvas; use Pen or Freehand when you want to draw.
