## What is Food Check?

Smarter food choices start with one scan.

FoodCheck reads any nutrition label with AI and tells you exactly what you're about to eat - glycemic index, hidden sugars, and a clear Low / Medium / High verdict. No typing, no guessing, no Googling.

WHY FOOD CHECK
• Label-first accuracy - we read the actual nutrition panel, not a blurry meal photo, so the score you see is real.
• Pick your AI brain: Gemini for fast everyday scans, Claude for deeper, more detailed reports. Switch any time.
• Catch hidden sugars: added sugars, syrups, and sneaky carbs all surfaced in seconds.
• Health tips, not just numbers - every scan comes with personalized recommendations on portion, timing, and smart swaps.
• 6 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Russian.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Point your camera at a label.
2. Tap once. AI extracts every nutrient.
3. Get your GI score, sugar breakdown, and tailored advice.

PERFECT FOR
• Anyone managing blood sugar — diabetes, prediabetes, gestational, insulin resistance.
• Low-GI, low-carb, and keto eaters.
• People watching weight or tired of decoding nutrition panels.
• Health-curious shoppers who want the whole story before buying.

Favorites
Save favorites, build a personal shopping list, filter by Low / Medium / High GI, and revisit every scan. The more you use FoodCheck, the smarter your grocery runs get.

### 5/5 — It works

*2026-06-29*

I use this app to find items with low GI at grocery stores, works great

### 1/5 — Inaccuracy

*2026-06-12*

The app is very inaccurate. Most of the nutrition facts did not match the label. I corrected it and did a reanalysis, somehow it was even more inaccurate and more than doubled the amount of carbs I just input
