## What is Food Health TxD?

Food Health TxD is a carb-and-glucose companion built for people living with Type 1, Type 2, prediabetes, or anyone watching their numbers.

Snap a photo of your plate or a restaurant menu. The app estimates carbs, sugar, protein, fiber, and fat for what you're about to eat or have just eaten. Log a glucose reading in two taps or pull from Apple Health if your sensor writes blood glucose measures to it. See both on the same chart so you can spot which meals actually spike you. Scan Food photographs any meal and gives carb-first nutrition with a low, moderate, or high spike tier.

Scan Menu photographs a restaurant menu and ranks every item by carbs, so you can pick before you order. Save the menu and come back to it later without re-scanning. Log Glucose accepts a fast manual entry or pulls readings from Apple Health if you wear a CGM. Dexcom and Lingo write to Apple Health automatically. Libre needs a companion app like LibreLinkUp, Sweet Dreams, or Glooko to bridge into Apple Health.

The Today plot is a dual-axis chart of glucose and carbs over your day. Tap or drag the expanded chart to inspect any point and see which meal lined up with which reading. Calendar and search let you jump to any past day and search across every entry by title or note. All data lives on your device. It optionally mirrors to Apple Health, with a per-field auto-dedup that avoids double-writing nutrients another app already wrote, plus a developer toggle to turn off Apple Health writes entirely.

Save photos back to your library with a long-press on any meal photo. This app is for education and tracking only. It does not recommend insulin doses. It does not predict glucose. It does not diagnose. Always work with your healthcare provider for treatment decisions. Built for people with Type 1 diabetes who want a carb-aware meal log alongside their CGM, people with Type 2 diabetes who want to see which meals drive spikes, people with prediabetes who want to make informed food choices, and caregivers and partners who want to support someone watching their numbers.

Meal photos stay on your device. They are sent to a vision AI service only at the moment of analysis and are not retained anywhere except your own log. Location is never required. A 7-day free trial gives full access to unlimited menu and food scans. After the trial, an annual auto-renewing subscription continues access. Price shown at the prompt depends on your region. Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings, under your Apple ID, in Subscriptions. If you prefer to bring your own AI key, paste an Anthropic API key in the app's Settings and use the app without a subscription.
