## What is Food in Season?

Find out when is the best time to enjoy your favorite foods. Includes fruits, vegetables, fish, and shellfish.

Here you can find out if a food is within its recommended harvesting or fishing season, if it is in an early or late phase of that season or if the food is imported.

In addition, for each food you can check its nutritional composition. These data have been obtained, for the most part, from the Spanish Food Composition Database (BEDCA), and from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

As a complement to all this information we have added a shopping list so that you can save your favorite foods and always have them accessible.

Lo positivo: 
La información que da puede ser útil, aunque pide a gritos un filtro para escoger el mes que te interesa y otro para seleccionar entre frutas y verduras. 

Lo negativo y que me obliga a borrarla: 
Me parece horrible que cada vez que seleccionas una verdura te salte un vídeo larguísimo a toda leche de venta de criptomonedas. Terrible. 

Mejor sería que la afinaran más y que fuera de pago (no de suscripción como se ha puesto de moda).

At first I loved the app until I started clicking on certain produces to see the details. Every time I click on something I get an ad. It’s to the point where the app is unusable. I looked for the option to pay a small fee to kill the ads but there is no such thing. Until they reduce the ads to something manageable or give the option to pay a small fee I won’t be using this app again.

While attending the GREAT AUGUSTA ESCOFFIER CULINARY for the Holistic Nutrition, I became aware of the importance of knowing “FOOD HINTS: break down by monthly with the mentioning of the seasonal calendar for fruits, vegetables, fish and seafood, therefore you as someone in the culinary profession, health field and/or for you and/or your family can use to find out if a food is within its recommended harvesting or fishing season, if it is in an early or late phase of that season or if the food is imported!” 
This app is one of them and in my June class at CSUDH in their OLLI program I plan to introduce this app to the attendees 

Food in Season is the first application that shows the seasonal calendar for fruits, vegetables, fish and seafood. Here you can find out if a food is within its recommended harvesting or fishing season, if it is in an early or late phase of that season or if the food is imported. The app also offers as a complementary an added the option to add foods to your shopping list so you can already have the products you need to buy all together. This post is allowing me to SHARE!

Tiene para ver la temporada de todos los alimentos, puedes añadir una lista de la compra a partir de lo que ves, un calendario por meses de los alimentos clasificados por en temporada, de importación, recolección temprana, etc.

Aún así, tiene algunos fallos como ponerte texto blanco sobre fondo claro, de forma que es muy difícil leerlo, o que algunos alimentos no te salen todo el año y si los buscas a lo mejor te sale que no está en temporada nunca (como el mango).

Muy buena app, cuando se corrijan los fallos tendrá 5 estrellas por mi parte.

Podría sugerir añadir la opción de ordenar los alimentos de cada mes alfabéticamente en vez de por temporada.
