## What is Food Noise?

Food Noise drops you into a private community of people in it with you, gives you Marlo, an AI companion who actually gets binge eating, and puts a panic button one tap away for the moments an urge hits hard. It blocks your food delivery apps when you try to order, and hands you 60+ tools for before, during, and after a binge.

A PRIVATE COMMUNITY
A heavily moderated space full of real people who are recovering together. No experts, no lectures, no judgment. Just honest conversations about something most of the world doesn't even know exists.

MARLO
Marlo is your AI companion for the moments between meals, between urges, and between everything else. Marlo has read every binge eating book, podcast transcript, and recovery resource that exists. Marlo knows what food noise actually is, what restriction does to your brain, what shame after a binge feels like, and what to say when you reach out at 2am because you ate the whole pantry. No clinical script. No advice you can find on Google. Just somebody who gets it and is always there.

Marlo is not a therapist and is not a replacement for professional help. Marlo is the thing you talk to when you cant talk to anyone else.

THE BLOCKER
FoodNoise physically stops you from ordering food when you know you shouldn't. You pick the food apps, set your danger hours, add an emergency contact, and record a voice message to yourself. Thats it. Thats the setup. When you try to open a blocked app, FoodNoise fights back with a full escalation sequence. A blocked screen, then a phone call that plays your own voice back to you, then rapid fire notifications, and then a real message gets sent to someone who cares about you. You literally built this wall yourself and now you're trying to climb over it.

60+ TOOLS FOR BEFORE DURING AND AFTER
When the urge hits, the pre urge tools are there to interrupt it before it wins. Stuff like leaving the room, making a warm drink, grounding yourself, moving your body. Simple things that actually work when your brain is screaming at you to eat.

After it happens, the post urge tools help you process what went down without spiraling into shame. You trace the trigger, name what you were actually feeling, rewrite the story your brain is telling you, and let it go. No guilt and no starting over on Monday.

The long term tools are for rebuilding your whole relationship with food and with yourself. Tracking your patterns, setting real boundaries, learning how to nourish instead of restrict.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
A streak counter, money saved tracker, and milestones that actually remind you how far you've come instead of how far you still have to go.

FoodNoise isn't therapy and it doesn't replace professional help. Its more like a daily companion for the space between sessions, between meals, and between urges.

### 5/5 — Impressed

*2026-08-27*

Have had this app since March and it’s helped a lot with my recovery. Community is very supportive

### 5/5 — Really helped me when I felt like I hit rock bottom

*2026-08-01*

The community is amazing and is really making a change. Not feeling alone, positive non judgmental feedback. And Jon the founder of the app is really engaged and giving his all to support people on their way to a healthier mindset.

### 1/5 — Greedy

*2026-07-31*

I swear these mental health apps are so greedy. Yeah, we're gonna have to make u pay to recover. Forget it. And although u can scroll ALLLLL the way down to see if there are any in-app purchases, being more upfront about having to pay for any kind of help would be nice and wouldn't lead to people getting their hopes up thinking today is gonna be the day they can recover. Just a BS app. Good job capitalizing on people's struggles, would honestly just pay for therapy 👎

### 5/5 — Love!!

*2026-07-30*

As someone who has struggled with binge eating for a few years, I was really ashamed to talk about it with anyone out of fear of being judged. This app has really been so helpful in connecting me with a community of people who can relate to what i’m going through, as well as helping me get to know myself better and actually identify my triggers. I love this app and i’ve been so much better because of it!!

### 5/5 — Grateful

*2026-07-20*

This is a tool I didn’t realize I needed for an issue I’ve been facing almost daily for over 40 years. To have tools and community to guide and support is a blessing. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2026-07-16*

This app has the most active and uplifting community for binge eating struggles that I’ve seen. I can tell that whoever made this genuinely wants people to stop binging. There are an abundance of tools that I use daily as well and I seem to learn something new every time I open the community or app. I am always skeptical about these kinds of apps, but I gave it a chance and I’m pleasantly surprised. I have hope.

### 5/5 — Super helpful

*2026-07-13*

I’ve had this app for over 2 months and it’s genuinely the best binge eating support app by far. It’s not even close. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Cool app

*2026-07-11*

Love this app

### 5/5 — Problems with logging in

*2026-07-09*

The app seems promising but I can’t get past the notification allowance. It just doesn’t load after that.

### 5/5 — Thoughtful, well-designed tool for recovery

*2026-07-08*

I was pleasantly surprised by what a thoughtful and well-designed tool this is for anyone who is currently trying to recover from binge eating disorder. The app itself is a curated set of tools to support users in any stage of their journey. The social community is a hidden gem that compliments the app really well. Users can share their successes, challenges, and feedback there. I am impressed by how well moderated and responsive the developer is. They’re very clear that this is not a substitute for medical care but a good way to support recovery. Grateful for this work!
