### 5/5 — Only app I trust 🫶

*2024-07-29, version 1.0.13*

Highly recommend this app, I have previously used Yukka but never feel like it’s been super accurate in its scoring. With Food IQ it considers quantities as well as doesn’t disregard fats and consider all of it bad. Much more trust worthy 👏👏 will continue using

### 5/5 — Great way to know what’s healthy

*2024-07-20, version 1.0.13*

The nutrient breakdown is really useful. And it’s free

### 5/5 — Finally an app that is user friendly

*2024-07-17*

Tried quite a few apps and this one is the only one to be user friendly enough not to have to go through boring readings. The app will tell you straight the impact in your body you might suffer from consuming certain additives.
Well done!!!

### 5/5 — Best food ingredient checker out there!

*2024-06-28, version 1.0.5*

It’s free, it’s efficient and it provides knowledge on the harmful ingredients and why you should limit them! Truly one of my favorite apps now!

### 5/5 — Highly Recommend!

*2024-06-25, version 1.0.5*

FoodIQ is a quick and yet reliable tool to get nutritional info. With grocery aisles getting increasingly flooded with options, this app helps make the right, healthy choices on the spot with a simple scan!

### 5/5 — Best app for health conscious girlies!!!

*2024-06-24, version 1.0.5*

I absolutely love this app — it has completely changed my approach to processed foods and nutrients. I used to blindly consume “low fat” and “low calorie” packaged items, but I had no idea that the ingredients were harmful and synthetic. I started using FoodIQ around 4 months ago, and I have seen dramatic changes in my skin, energy, hair, and cravings. Additionally, I recently shared this app with my sister who follows an anti-inflammatory diet due to an autoimmune condition, and she has been using it for everything over the past month. Her flare ups have become less frequent, and it has really improved her quality of life. Cannot say enough good things about this app — the capabilities are unique and verified by national nutritionists. There is not a better product out there! #FoodIQ4Ever

### 5/5 — Amazing !

*2024-06-24, version 1.0.5*

This app has been SO helpful in figuring out what foods are actually GOOD for you rather than just “lower calorie” or marketed as “healthy” but really just contain bad ingredients! If you care about your health, definitely recommend giving it a download!

### 5/5 — Helps me know the difference

*2024-02-08, version 1.0.3*

I love this app because its UnBiases it give me a sense of ease knowing somebody isn’t getting paid to tell me this is a good product

### 5/5 — App

*2024-02-07, version 1.0.3*

Good app, useful and easy, also free, better than any other ive had to use so far.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2023-11-28, version 1.0.2*

Very comprehensive and easy to use! I have been scanning my favorite snacks with FoodIQ and have already learned a lot. I am making healthy swaps and better choices from my scans. Love it!

### 5/5 — It’s been super useful

*2023-11-16, version 1.0.2*

I’ve been scanning so many products around my house and at the supermarket. Can’t believe how much crap I’ve been eating

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Price you pay.

*2025-10-28, version 1.0.27*

Why would someone market an app on helping people by making them have to pay for the app to even use it? Yuka app is free; is it as accurate? I guess me and obviously thousands of others agree that it might not be more accurate; but it is indeed free.
If the creators weren’t money driven and actually cared about people’s health; it would be free to use.

### 1/5 — False information

*2024-06-22, version 1.0.5*

Scanned my seltzer water (ingredients listed are carbonated water and natural flavor) and it says it’s got 26 carbs, high fructose corn syrup, and added sugars in it. Clearly not reliable.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2026-01-19, version 1.0.27*

This app used to be quite good, however I was rather disappointed to find that they’re charging for the features which truly make FoodIQ unique. Might as well download any other food scanner app as without the subscription, FoodIQ is just the same as the others if not worse. I would understand if FoodIQ was super popular, however considering the app isn’t that well known, I think charging for a subscription is just blatant exploitation of loyal app users!!

### 2/5 — Ruined the App

*2025-05-27, version 1.0.27*

This used to be my FAVORITE app. It was great for everything. However, they just updated it to where you have to pay to basically do anything. Yeah, no.. I unfortunately had to delete it because I could no longer do anything useful. What a shame!

### 2/5 — Now Needs Payments :(

*2025-03-22, version 1.0.27*

I’ve been using this app for nearly a year I believe and never had to pay for ANY of the features. Suddenly, it’s asking me to pay $11 subscription in order to search for items 🙄. It’s a shame because I loved this app and now I can’t use it.

### 5/5 — Intuitive app!

*2025-02-26, version 1.0.26*

Love this easy and insightful app.
MAHA

### 5/5 — Perfection

*2024-12-30, version 1.0.26*

This app changed the game for me. I saw the creator (I think) advertise it in the comments for a health guru on instagram and I’ve used it heavily since then. I had no idea about different ingredients being bad I just went by calories and sugar content. I feel so much better and have more energy 8 months into using this app to help with my grocery shopping. I also love how when the scores are low for something it shows the scientific data with their studies in the app so you can fully research and make your own decisions.

### 5/5 — Hidden common food toxins

*2024-12-02, version 1.0.26*

Very good app! Amazing what is hidden in food/over the counter items, all with scientifically published references. Good instant ranking of item.
The instant AI ranking of previously unknown items doesn’t really work. I.e. you scan the previously unrecognized item’s ingredients, but no ranking is given. No Android version that works that I can find.
Thank you!

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2024-11-30*

Discovered this app on TikTok and it’s just amazing! I use it all the time when I go to buy groceries. I found so many of my usual ingredients have seed oils - and this app has helped me find healthier alternatives

### 5/5 — The best

*2024-11-03*

The best app to have a good information about foods. Thanks a lot to help us !!

## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nutrition game changer!!!

*2024-09-09, version 1.0.25*

Just love this app!!! It’s such a game changer for healthy and conscious eating!!! Now I scan every item using this app before making a decision on whether to consume it and if so how frequently. Would love to see this app extend to scanning fruits, veggies, grains, etc and eventually a plate of food at some point in the future!!!
Great job!!! Keep it going!!!

### 5/5 — AMAZING!!!!

*2024-09-01, version 1.0.24*

Amazing!!! Thank YOU!!!!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2024-08-31, version 1.0.24*

Love the app , has really opened my eyes to the ills of the modern food industry. Would like to see a feature allowing the comparison of products if I’m deciding which protein powder to buy (for example).

### 5/5 — Someone finally did it!

*2024-08-23, version 1.0.20*

I have always hated the Yuka scoring system. I never paid any attention to it, just looked at the listed ingredients. I can actually rely on the scoring system for FoodIQ. Keep up the great work, I can’t wait to see how it evolves.

### 5/5 — Love it!!

*2024-07-30, version 1.0.15*

I can’t go shopping without using this app anymore 🙌🏻 Nice and easy app design and intuitive scoring with good explanations. I would love to see a feature in the future that allows you to track what you eat!!
