### 4/5 — Incredible - the future of gut health

*2026-08-30, version 7.4.1*

I love the concept and the ability to monitor a range of symptoms and issues to help get on top of my health. I would say there’s a huge amount going on in the app, and while I definitely want it on my phone, the ability to view it on my desktop would massively enhance the usefulness of the data. Please consider making a desktop version available. Thank you

### 2/5 — The device is clunky and the app is hard to use

*2026-02-28*

When I first started using this several weeks ago, I could not get over how challenging it was just to input a simple meal. The barcode scanner that the app comes with can’t actually get a clear shot of a barcode to scan. I have an iPhone 16 Pro with the three cameras and still could not get a clear shot of any barcode. Typing everything in manually is clunky.

I just took my first Discovery Challenge. And, spent the last three hours starving myself to test Inulin. Three of the six breaths I took on the device came back ‘insufficient’. So that when the test concluded. I got a message that read “not enough tests or the duration is too short to determine food compatibility.” WHAT????

You’re going to tell a person who has been starving themselves all morning that they just sat there for over three hours to run a test that isn’t even conclusive?

For the price you pay for this device. It is not worth the hassle. I’d love a refund or at the very least the Inulin powder packet resent, so I could try to test again. I am beyond frustrated!

### 2/5 — Food Data Base

*2026-02-13, version 7.0.7*

The food data base is less than basic … I can’t add Broccoli sprouts, fresh garden salad, everything I scan I have to take a picture of so it can read.. they should partner with a platform such as Cronometer

### 3/5 — PLEASE improve meal entry

*2026-02-09*

This has consolidated multiple apps for me across a range of health tracking metrics (stool, symptoms, breath, etc)… however the poor meal entry interface, database, and experience prevent me from tracking meals here– making a critical component to put the puzzle pieces together unnecessarily complicated.

To the Devs: PLEASE consider learning from apps like Fitbee, Cronometer, MacroFactor etc to see what a top-tier meal tracking interface and experience look and feel like. You have a competitive advantage with the depth and breadth of this app, *except* for arguably the most valuable part of the experience. I suspect meal tracking is responsible for most people’s first impressions and likelihood to continue using this app, and there are some REALLY good ones out there. This piece alone is preventing me from using this app to its full potential, and unlocking insights about my health in a truly valuable, empirical way. I know you can do it! I believe in you!

### 3/5 — Great App except Meal Entry

*2026-01-08, version 7.0.4*

So far I’m loving the Aire2 breath testing device and the app’s ease of use. The one (really big) draw back… the meal entry is awful. In a world where Lose It and MyFitness apps exist with Easy food entry, barcode or camera capture it really seems like Food Marble is complete a total amateur failure. Barcodes NEVER scan (did it break and they’re hoping no one notices?). Its library of existing meals by restaurants or brands is unacceptably small. Why didn’t they simply partner with someone who gets this right?

### 3/5 — New user

*2025-12-03, version 6.9.8*

Not accessible. Much is great. Needs to be restarted to connect to sensor. Not clear how to enter Fodmap contents. Food list not very helpful.

### 3/5 — Many issues after updating

*2025-09-21, version 6.8.9*

Many issues after updating. The breath test often fails as the device looks connected but the app doesn’t detect blowing into the device

### 5/5 — Terrific program!

*2025-08-05, version 6.8.4*

The developers have thought of everything. There is a learning curve, but in one day I’m understanding how the device works. I am amazed at the fast breath results and love the easy tracking of food eaten, supplements, BM, symptoms. Everything in one place where I build up a base for this body and can’t lose my data. I’m impressed!

### 5/5 — Great feedback for me and my gut

*2025-07-23, version 6.8.2*

I have been using the app for a few weeks now, and it has been so helpful. I like that I can enter information, such as sleep, food, symptoms, and more and it keeps track of everything, including my daily FODMAP count. I can also view trends to pinpoint triggers. Being able to test my breath has been a game changer. I am feeling so much better!

### 5/5 — Great for SIBO recovery!

*2025-07-23*

The Food Marble is awesome! It has been a vital tool in my SIBO recovery and worth every penny! It gives me real time numbers to help thst have help me to figure out the foods I’m eating that are driving conditions, making my symptoms worse. Knowing these numbers is key to recovery, without the Food Marble I probably would have ended up taking another round of unneeded antibiotics. Thank you for inventing such a wonderful tool!

### 5/5 — GI Health monitoring

*2025-06-03, version 6.7.5*

Not so much for food selection but to truly understand The microbes that impact your well being. Like a sophisticated breath test in your home!

### 4/5 — More options/increase functionality

*2025-05-28, version 6.7.5*

Same comment as others, this app should buddy up with myfitnesspal or seriously increase the options in food for more accurate tracking. Kind of expected at the subscription cost. Other than that a simple filter for the recipes for common allergens would be good. Hardware is a game changer app needs more attention.

### 5/5 — Very user friendly

*2025-04-16, version 6.7.0*

I have ADHD so find it difficult to keep any kind of structured log. But this app is incredibly user-friendly. I’m so surprised that I’m actually interested in using it and inputting data regularly. I have bad sibo and irregular eating habits and this feels like an almost magical insight into what’s going on in my guts. I’ve not really read any of the instructions yet LOL, but for now I’m testing myself before I eat and keeping my meals simple. So I hope overtime patterns begin to emerge and I will start following some of the programs in this app in a more structured way when I have the mental capacity. I held off buying this for awhile but I wish I’d done it as soon as I’d seen it because it would’ve saved me a lot of money at the naturopath!

### 5/5 — SIBO Breath Test

*2025-04-08, version 6.7.0*

Now I know I have SIBO and am changing my diet. No more grains or sugar.

### 5/5 — Food Marble app is very accurate in detecting food allergies and can help a lot of patients with IBS

*2025-03-22, version 6.6.7*

5 stars

### 2/5 — Not reliable

*2025-03-05, version 6.6.3*

Very unreliable, my first breath tests worked but just a few days later no reaction when I exhale any more.

### 4/5 — Great device, terrible app layout.

*2025-02-27, version 6.6.3*

Love this device. The app layout is not intuitive and hard to navigate. Hurts my eyes to read the data.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — The app

*2025-10-11, version v6.9.2*

The app keeps freezing every other day. I have to deleted and downloaded again.

### 1/5 — App is completely BROKEN

*2025-07-24, version 6.8.2*

Views do not update. One page will tell you a food is safe. The next will tell you it is 29% of RDA. Very inaccurate and NOT CURATED. THIS IS DANGEROUS. I unknowingly exceeded my RDA and was sick the next day. Meal logs are also not synced across multiple pages in app. No way to EXPORT MY DATA!

The device may be great and clinically proven to measure hydrogen and methane, but the APP IS TRASH!

### 1/5 — App is a complete disaster

*2025-07-20, version 6.8.2*

The device is cool. The app males me want to throw my phone out the window!! 😭🤦🏻‍♀️ Absolutely nothing is intuitive about this app. Nothing works the way it should. It glitches *constantly*. Do NOT download this for the tracking capabilities. There are hundreds of other options for that and while I haven't found a perfect one they're all better than this!!!

### 1/5 — New app is terrible

*2025-01-01, version 6.5.2*

The new app is unintuitive, riddled with bugs, and slow. It’s like no one tested this before they released it. It’s a shame because the device is decent.

### 1/5 — Bitterly disappointed

*2024-11-22, version 6.4.7*

Device and app stubbornly refuse to connect. Useless, will insist on refund. I feel I’ve been duped.

### 1/5 — Misleading and Confusing UI

*2024-11-18, version 6.4.3*

Extraordinarily confusing UI and UX. The app constantly gets in my way from doing what I want. It displays my data in misleading ways. It plots data that makes no sense. It is trying to represent too much info in too many ways in too many places.

### 1/5 — Not user friendly so what’s the point

*2024-02-02, version 6.1.1*

User interface on all levels is incredibly disappointing. Their marketing team is great. Had high hopes and feels like a waste of time and money and plastic. Its so annoying that I can’t put in food and what’s in it. If it’s not in the database, it won’t allow you to put in the nutritional info. Also WHY NOT make super clear which end to breathe into, design wise?

### 1/5 — Great idea, poorly done

*2023-07-12, version 5.6.6*

The app experience is really disappointing and buggy, it’s extremely difficult to log foods since half the foods you scan are missing so you need to manually enter every ingredient. The app UI is also super clunky and difficult to navigate.

The actually device is also poorly built and very buggy. It doesn’t turn on a lot of times despite being fully charged, and sometimes it just vibrates nonstop or won’t turn off.

I’m a new user and I’ve had 9 different device issues in the past 30 days…

Really want this product to work but honestly this is a terrible user experience.

### 1/5 — Yikes

*2023-04-27*

Not intuitive. And certainly not programmed for folks on a whole-foods diet. Searchable ingredients are mostly UPFs. So ironic bc folks using this are the ones trying to eat healthy, in theory. It takes 20 mins to log a single rainbow meal (meaning one that contains a variety of veggies/fruits). And that’s after getting the hang of navigating the near-useless entering and editing features. Getting the units correct is infuriating too - have to search proper worth’s/volumes for each item. I can’t imagine logging to get accurate FODMAP levels, and not actually mid elimination diet (ie on a crazy limited diet), because that would require hours a day on this thing.

### 1/5 — Stop asking for a review

*2023-03-05, version 5.4.1*

I want to use the app. Stop asking for a review. Piss off.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Day one !

*2026-08-25, version 7.3.9*

First day using and it helped identify a flare up immediately so I could stop it before it went too far.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-08-20, version 7.3.7*

I have SIBO/IMO and the Food Marble has been my constant and helpful companion, my whole healing journey. You get valuable information instantly without waiting two weeks for results and It’s super easy to use. I highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — Exceptionally Useful

*2026-08-03, version 7.3.5*

The FoodMarble Aire 2 and app are a game changer as my GP won’t investigate my IBS. This tool shows my SIBO clearly and has allowed me to self test and work on eliminating the overgrowth without medical antibiotics.

### 5/5 — Surprised

*2026-05-01, version 7.1.8*

When something is easy and does what it says it will do and beyond ,I am always pleasantly surprised. Now I can look forward to better health in peace.

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2026-04-13, version 7.1.6*

This app is so useful! There is no way I could’ve figured out all of my food sensitivities without food marble tracker. This did in two months what years of journaling could not.

### 5/5 — Life saver!

*2026-03-09, version 7.0.9*

This device and app are a lifesaver! I have Methane Predominant SIBO and my doctors had no way to test for methane. Without this device I would not have been able to get the care I needed. I can’t say enough good things about FoodMarble.

### 5/5 — Day 1 To Forever

*2026-01-18, version 7.0.4*

So far, FoodMarble has been great! I’m really hoping this will help me figure out my gut issues…

### 5/5 — Valuable tool

*2026-01-14, version 7.0.4*

Extremely valuable tool in figuring out gut issues. I use mine almost every day; it’s easy and fast, and incredibly informative. Helped me get control of food sensitivities/intolerances and it’s so nice to be able to live bloat free now.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2025-10-05, version v6.9.2*

I am happy with this purchase. I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Insufficiency and continue to suffer with gastrointestinal issues and currently suspect SIBO as the cause. This app has helped me establish patterns between my symptoms and breath tests. I have been following a Low FODMAP diet religiously for 2 weeks and am now feeling the benefits of using the App. The historic analysis gives scope for further comparisons and control of my symptoms. The food marble team has extremely been supportive. The app would be easier to use if in addition to the detailed instructions found on line there were also some YouTube shorts to make things even easier. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Like having a polite butler who tells me when to eat

*2025-08-24, version 6.8.5*

FoodMarble is kinda cool. I just punch in what I eat, and it tells me when to eat next and when to blow on it like a harmonica. And it tells me how my digestion is going like a digestive fortune teller.
