## What is FoodPantryPAL?

This iPhone/iPad application is used by the Lutheran Community Services(LCS) and volunteers at their Food Pantries in New Castle County, Delaware. The purpose is to provide food to their clients and document their visit. 
The application provides a Search Screen for the user to type a name or part of a name to find the client registered with the LCS Food Pantries. The client's information includes: address, DOB, phone number, additional household members, ID information, eligibility status and notes any special information or additional assistance they need). The Log Visit screen shows a recap of the client name and family size along with a touchscreen box for the client to sign and confirm their pantry visit.  This visit, including a time and date stamp, is logged into the system and the data is transferred to the LCS Food Pantry PAL web database for archiving.  Users can also add and edit client notes.  

A separate Web application is used for client/user management and data reports (not included in the iPhone/iPad application).

### 2.30.07 — 2022-08-02

Version 2.30.07 implements the new Food Pantry specific Client Eligibility Form review dates.  These dates are input by the Food Pantry Administrators at each site.  They enable each pantry to control the trigger date for reviewing the client's eligibility form.  This app will now highlight the eligibility date in the client information report if it is DUE.  It will also provide a reminder in the visit report with respect to eligibility.  This version also makes a change to the email server used to communicate user information, implementing security improvements.

### 2.30.06 — 2022-06-17

* The ability to request the deletion of a user's Food Pantry Account.
*  The elimination of color coding of the client eligibility date.  This affords the Food Pantry local control of the process for renewing the eligibility.

This version adds the ability for the user to Edit and Add notes for the Clients at the Pantries.  
This version allows the more robust usage of special characters
  * In the user's password.  
  * In the client information text.  
  • It addresses a defect that could have occurred in the use of some special characters in the Logon credentials.

### 2.7.96 — 2021-08-22

Enlarges the size of the Visits and Totals buttons on the Pantry Page, and changes their orientation to Horizontal.
All Pantries with total visits > 0 are displayed in Red Text on the Totals report.
