## What is Foodshare Club?

Foodshare is a pretty unique solution to address food waste because it focuses on creating a sharing economy around surplus food. This means that individuals and organisations can share their excess food with others who may need it, reducing waste and helping to solve issues of hunger and food insecurity. Foodshare operates through a website and mobile apps that enable neighbours to connect with others and share food in their communities. 

One of our substantial features is the world's Foodbanks section, which provides information on organizations working to address food insecurity and hunger worldwide. We also have a section for the world’s community Fridges, public fridges where people can donate and take food.

Furthermore, Foodshare not only addresses the issue of food waste but also promotes sustainable consumption patterns. By encouraging the use of surplus food, Foodsharing reduces the demand for new food production and helps to reduce the environmental impact of food production.

Foodshare is a grassroots platform that operates through a bottom-up approach, allowing individuals and communities to take ownership of the issue of food waste and work together to find solutions. This approach empowers people to take action and create change in their communities, making it a unique solution that is both scalable and sustainable.
