I practically only receive offers from Arabian teams, so it could be more balanced with more teams making offers. Also, we could increase the slot capacity to choose between 7 to 8 playable leagues, or increase the scouting team's ability to find players from unselected leagues (or bring in the best young players from unselected leagues), and have big clubs buying those players so they consequently appear in the database. Additionally, we could reduce the frequency of team injuries, as many players get injured too easily and very often, and have more interaction with the fans. The only issue is it can be quite buggy at times. Game action screen doesn’t always display after a cut away to live play. I have to continually tap to try and bring it up along with my coaching sidebar tools. If we could fix stuff like that it’d be solid. I’d also love to see more options with formations. Half the time I select one and it doesn’t even work, but puts players out of position. Als jemand der FM24 geliebt hat, war ich Anfangs aufgrund des neuen Interfaces natürlich auch geschockt. Nach ein paar Stunden Spielzeit hat man sich allerdings daran gewöhnt. Das Spiel macht Spaß und man kann das typische FM Gefühl schon erleben. Allerdings ist das Interface wirklich sehr sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Vor Allem wenn man die lange Entwicklungszeit bedenkt. Been using Netflix’s version of FM and thought I would upgrade Arcade to try this. Completely unplayable. Kept crashing, pages don’t load, buttons disappear so you can’t click them. I couldn’t even select a team. The UI is dreadful, it doesn’t fit on my screen, so you have to scroll which keeps crashing as well. Go play the free Netflix version, that actually feels like an FM game and is immersive. This is dreadful. Pre-match tram talks never appear - literally can’t give the team talk before the game. Half-time and full-time work. But pre-match doesn't appear even in competitive fixtures. It’s just missing. Position retraining doesn't work. Unavailable across multiple players. Reported since launch, still broken. Saving crashes the game. An iCloud conflict dialogue appears, becomes unresponsive, and the only escape is a force quit. Player partnerships vanish when you change shape. The link disappears from one panel while remaining in the other. Same players, same partnership, two screens contradicting each other. The tactics don't appear to register. I set a Gegenpress — high press, counter-press, trigger press much more often. The pressing stats came back showing no press whatsoever. Work Ball Into Box is on and my team took five long shots from twelve. Players have moved themselves out of position in the out-of-possession shape without me touching anything, and the game then flags them for being out of position. The game is all terrible we just haven’t adjusted yet but honestly I think it’s a huge step up from fm24 gameplay feels smoother tactics and player movement are simply stunning by far better than EAFC but that’s besides the point lol. Amazing game that also deserves amazing praise. People forget to understand the dev teams are people as well. ### 5/5 — Great Game - Great Update - Very Buggy - (Game updates since fixed some bugs) *2026-02-08, version 26.1.2* First of all the 2026 FM update was excellent! I really like the new design. It is overall a huge and great update to both the UI and match graphics, where I like all the changes. The new UI feels easier to navigate through and to me feels very simple. So the overall gameplay and UI feel like a huge improvement over FM 24!!! I think they incorporated just the right amount of elements into the UI and gameplay to make It so it would be in theory very fun. It is similar to fm 24, but easier to see and navigate through, with huge improvements to the UI and graphics both. And yet, while this is a GREAT GAME, currently the amount of bugs makes it almost unplayable (while still some bugs, this has been resolved and it is playable now). I think the issue was that it was released before it was fully ready. Even on very fast Mac machines, there needs like some serious debugging fast. It should move quickly between UI screens and UI clicks, but after you click there is like a brief lag when clicking through the UI to play the game (not in match mode, in just navigating the U). I do not think it is about the graphics or issues like that, just the bugs and glitches. It should run smoothly on fast Max machines. It makes me think the developers need to hire additional people to debug this game asap or put the game through a debugging AI, because the lag UI delays and bugs makes it almost unplayable. Despite the bugs, the 2026 version looks incredible, and is a huge step forward with the UI. It just was pre-released before the game runs smoothly on a Mac, so is not very playable for too long currently because of the lag when moving through the UI, where it does not run smoothly and snappy yet. Therefore, compared to FM 24 the UI is a huge improvement. It is just the time it takes to click through the UI (due to the lag bugs) is what is the real issue. It has nothing to do with the design of the game and improvements, which were excellent improvements. Thus, my 5 star review as I felt the game in design and new UI is a huge improvement over 2024. Despite the bugs I really like the new UI, and the game is much better. It is just too early on, such that the bugs will hopefully be fixed soon to make the game run quickly and smoothly. I am on a Max chip, so there should not be these lag hesitancies during UI navigation between clicks and screens. Again, there was NO ISSUE with the UI design or gameplay or graphics, which are all excellent improvements! I understand that this was a major update, such that there are many bugs, and therefore my 5 star review is because I know the game will be incredible once these bugs are all fixed and sorted through. ——— Updates since initial review: A major patch fixed some of the bugs. The game is much snappier then before and became playable. There are still bugs though. For example, there is a list of jobs available to hire in game- like a technical director, fitness director, goal keeping coach, yet these are not actually available to hire for in this version. While it would be great to be able to choose a goal keeping or fitness coach, you cannot actually sign one. It is hard to know how to improve your goalie or your improve the players in your squad to their potential is it the Head of Youth or Assistant Coach? There are no assistant coaches with goalie stats. So there are many coaching jobs available in the coaches screen to click on that we cannot hire for. Also you cannot compare coaches, there is no compare button for coaches still, while there was in FM24. All the coaching attributes viewable have odd incorrectly not properly formatted wrong colors (shifting from red for elite (sometimes) to green for elite (sometimes). (they have fixed these miscolored attribution labels in a patch since.) When recruiting and bidding on a player for your team, you can only sometimes include a player to exchange as part of your bid (the players to exchange option with your bid appears intermittently, sometimes it is there, sometimes it is not, despite a transfer window being open). Just bug fixes needed throughout. More time has passed and still there are coaching jobs available we cant actually recruit for. Some coaching columns like adaptability do not show up, it shows a -, instead of a number. Also, the attribute for physiology, every head physiology coach is showing an elite level of physiology stats, though when you click on an individual coach, they show outstanding or very good physiology. So there are discrepancies in the coaching labels. Also, the auto training feature does not work well. You need to manually do it. (bug fix needed for this). Despite having assigned a staff to run set pieces, it makes you go through a set piece orientation every time. Run this through Claude Code and get it debugged or something? For the management - More resources need to be given to debugging this game, look at all the feedback on the bug issues and the frustration the bugs are causing various users. —— Again, I am personally very happy this was a major engine update and so understand there are bugs that come along with that. The new vision for FM is excellent, it just takes some time to get all the kinks worked out. Thus, I am very happy with the game overall, as well am happy that sports interactive was ambitious enough to make major changes from fm 24.
