You play with more bonuses against 66 overalls. I give an example, 90 overall, while your chance of scoring a goalkeeper is 30%, 66 overall is 50% against a goalkeeper. Think of the logic of scoring goals as the xG in football. Boots can be purchased using in-game currency, and cryptocurrency investments are available to free players as well. Progression is designed around improving your career, signing better contracts with stronger clubs, and using your earnings to purchase better equipment. Even with very high attributes, your player may occasionally miss a penalty or fail to convert a scoring opportunity. Football always includes an element of uncertainty—even the best players in the world can miss penalties or clear chances. Removing that possibility would make the match experience less realistic.
