## What is Footheball?

Footheball is the schoolyard pen-and-paper football game, reborn with the calm and tension of a sumi-e duel. One ball, two goals, and a single rule that has hooked players for generations: draw a line, and if it lands where another line has already been, you go again. String those bounces into one sweeping chain and you can carry the ball the length of the board in a single, breathless turn.

Every move is a stroke of ink. Drag from anywhere on screen to grow your line from the ball; cross the threshold and it commits in your colour. Trap your rival against a dead end and they lose — but draw carelessly into your own goal and the bout is yours to throw away.

Face seven ranked rivals, each a distinct mind rather than a difficulty slider:
- Deshi, the eager apprentice, all enthusiasm and blunders.
- Rōnin, the patient wall, who plays you off your own goal.
- Samurai, the blade, who punishes a single careless line.
- Kengō, the trickster, who takes the scenic route just to unsettle you.
- Miyamoto, the master, the sword of no-mind.
- Fūjin, the wind god, who reads the whole board at once.
- Raijin, the thunder god, who thinks even while you do.
They taunt, they gloat, they seethe — and they are driven by a genuine search engine, not a script.
