### 4/5 — Looks promising 😇

*2026-08-16, version 4.11.2*

Updated 2026/08/16- still a good value!

Hiking - mostly great! But the available maps don’t give all the information one might want. I suspect it is the map repository and not necessarily the app.

Boating - it is fine, but clearly one wouldn’t use it by itself. A proper boating app like orca is needed.

Driving seems to work properly 🤷‍♂️

Biking- mostly works great. I had an incident where it took me up onto an active gravel pit. Check your route.

From original:
So I haven’t used it a ton yet, but it looks promising and here’s why:

1- use what ever mode you want - boat, walking bike and car- perhaps more🙃
2- it finds a route by drawing it or selecting a end point - and/or a start point!

What I haven’t quite used or figured out:
- navigation part - the “go” button
- how well the path for hiking works
- if it is the best route for driving/walking/biking. By best I mean the one that would make sense and be best for what ever mode you choose.

Anyway, it will be interesting to test it out.

Finally, I would add, If it does most of what it offers, then the price point makes it a good value!

### 4/5 — Great except for drawing the route

*2026-08-07, version 4.11.2*

The application works beautifully, as advertised. I especially like the turn-by-turn instructions (this can be silenced), and the live tracking on the map. The ability to save routes, and reverse them, is a big plus. This app is made bicycling a lot more interesting.

My only beef is the difficulty drawing a route: connecting a previous segment to the new one that you are drawing – it can take multiple tries to get it to “take.“

It would also be nice to have the route begin recording immediately – I always forgot to start it. Maybe it’s a preference you could set.

### 5/5 — Navigation

### 5/5 — Perfect running app for me

*2026-07-04, version 4.10.9*

I’ve never left a review on the App Store but I’ve been using this app for about a month and it’s exactly what I was looking for. I can plan a route and see how many miles it’ll be and I can track my route to see my pace and how far I’ve gone. That’s all I need and this app is so simple and perfect for that! Devs, pls don’t change a thing

### 5/5 — Great for Roads and Trails

*2026-07-01, version 4.10.9*

A great app for finding trails and custom driving routes. I started using this app as a metro bus driver to help me save and learn routes. Some streets didn’t snap, but it has the option to manually draw routes.

As a hiker and trail runner, I have gotten to love this app to plan my runs. It shows both paved trails and dirt trails. It allows me to categorize the trails or routes in groups. And the subscription price is reasonable.

### 5/5 — Best (of many) I’ve used

*2026-06-30, version 4.10.9*

I’ve been having too much fun drawing gravel bike routes to explore (and then riding them) . The drawing function - on an iPad - is excellent, and the app is really well designed (good set of features) and well implemented (haven’t hit a bug yet). It’s not so useful unless you subscribe to store maps, but the annual cost is entirely reasonable. And they don’t ensnare you into some social media/advertising scheme (which I hate) as most apps do. Perfect for road, gravel, mountain bike route planning

### 5/5 — Fun and easy to use

*2026-06-29, version 4.10.9*

This is an excellent, easy to use route guidance app whether it’s for wilderness hikes or walking the streets in towns and cities. I have used it several times for both types of environment, and find it easier to create and use maps than other popular apps I’ve tried.
I appreciate that the developer allows users to create maps and plan routes without having to subscribe at that point, needing only to subscribe to use certain features and to navigate. Subscriptions are month by month, not annual, so it can easily be cancelled once it is no longer needed.
The only thing I don’t like is the robotic sounding voice used for navigation guidance!

### 4/5 — Emailed for help no response

*2026-06-25, version 4.10.9*

My app keeps freezing on os maps. Loses things etc. I’ve deleted reinstalled. I have fast fibre stable still getting periodic issues and not always snapping.

### 4/5 — Couple of points to consider

*2026-06-23, version 4.10.9*

First, if you are on a hike and decide to turn back for any reason you need to stop the hike you are currently on, and program a new hike beginning at your current location and ending at your starting location. To me, this is a huge safety flaw as returning to start point is likely to be your first choice when something goes wrong during your hike (injury, unexpected conditions on the trail, unexpected weather changes, etc.). This should be an easy to use feature with one button or easy-to-find screen option. In short, the app is great for planning a hike, but not so great at keeping you safe if things change.

Second, on the Apple series watches it is difficult to toggle between the map-screen and the cue-sheet as the icons are small with a confusing layout. (No direct toggle). Apparently, it’s easier on the Apple Watch Ultra as that watch has a function button that can be programmed to do this.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2026-06-21, version 4.10.9*

Very easy to use & create my running routes. I love this app!

### 5/5 — Absolute cinema

*2026-06-20, version 4.10.9*

It's simple, the only thing is that I wish it was sorta like Google maps where you could like do a start and finish and it shows where you've already ran at

### 4/5 — Incredibly useful app with a few minor UX flaws

*2026-06-07, version 4.10.9*

This app has been incredibly useful as I train for longer distances and need to plan those runs for specific lengths. Especially valuable when you’re trying to get a certain distance while traveling somewhere you’re not used to. It’s so well-designed for that purpose that I’m surprised when little user experience quirks pop up: for example, while it’s very clear how to start creating a route, saving it can only be done if you intuit that the icon usually meaning “share” or “export” (a box in the upper right-hand corner of the route-editing screen) is actually what you tap to do that. I have other small kvetches but they shouldn’t obscure the fact that this is a great tool that I highly recommend.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Major roads aren’t footpaths as far as I’m aware…rubbish

*2026-07-25, version 4.11*

I’ve been using this app for a while, the free version I might add, if you map things little by little it’s ok but if you want to map from here to there it takes you on major roads 🤯 I’m a runner! I don’t think running down a dual carriageway or motorway is a safe footpath, very disappointing

### 1/5 — Dangerous

*2026-05-18, version 4.10.9*

The app puts me on roads where there is no footpath

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2026-05-12, version 4.10.9*

Really cool app until it completely quit working. Tried multiple devices but it just freezes up and quits

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-05-09, version 4.10.9*

Just terrible

### 1/5 — No longer opens

*2026-05-08, version 4.10.9*

No longer opens app after the latest update. It just stays on the splash screen.

### 1/5 — Constant crashing

*2026-04-25, version 4.10.9*

Help mine won’t load anymore!!! Been crashing for months. What can I do?!

### 1/5 — Działanie aplikacji

*2025-12-07, version 4.10.7*

Nic się nie zapisuje aplikacja nie działa

### 1/5 — Support ignores paying customers

*2025-11-28, version 4.10.7*

The app is quite good and has a lot of cool features. Unfortunately, sending routes to the watch doesn't work, which is quite crucial. I get an error. What's even worse, despite a paid ELITE subscription, support hasn't responded despite sending several emails about it. That's why I'm giving it the lowest possible rating because I paid for it and support ignores me.

### 1/5 — Snap to maps doesn’t work isn’t working on the app … really inconvenient

*2025-11-18, version 4.10.7*

N

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2025-11-03, version 4.10.7*

I create my route and it doesn’t save it on iPhone. I start a route in Apple Watch and it doesn’t save on iPhone. I have had this problem for years . This app simply doesn’t work at all

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Seems good

*2026-08-19, version 4.11.2*

Seems fine as a walking or running route planner or record, free to use for basic 👍

### 5/5 — Best routing app

*2026-08-14, version 4.11.2*

This app rocks so hard. As a very insane person who trail runs 50-80 miles a week, I use this app on an almost daily basis. One thing I LOVE about it is how easy it is for o use, export and share routes. One thing I think it has over other apps is you can route a path over terrain that may or may not have trail which is really key if u know there is a trail right on the other side, also great use while traveling when I didn’t download maps when traveling in London. 10/10 HAVE recommended this app to all my runner friends

### 5/5 — So simple to use

*2026-08-13, version 4.11.2*

I use this app to plan new running routes from wherever I am as I travel quite a bit. It’s so easy to use.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2026-08-09, version 4.11.2*

I use it to plot routes, it’s 95% accurate. Not steered me to far wrong yet.

### 5/5 — Great app.

*2026-08-05, version 4.11.2*

Fantastic free app showing all footpaths. If you are a walk leader, it’s invaluable to work out a route and find out the distance involved.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-08-03, version 4.11*

My go to app for planning running and cycling routes.

### 5/5 — Phenomenal Route Planning App

*2026-07-30, version 4.11*

Use this app very frequently to plan any walks or drives.

### 5/5 — Indispensable pour découvrir le monde !
