### 4/5 — Intriguing

*2019-01-05, version 1.2.4*

I feel like the author could have expanded the story to cover loose ends about the true nature of happenings in the estate, and perhaps more character development for the Crocodile, Rival and Audrey.

Still, it's a short but entertaining read. I'm just disappointed that the paranormal events were denied closure, but I guess that in the end that's what a good mystery novel should deliver..?

### 4/5 — Surprisingly Good

*2016-12-11, version 1.1.2*

I didn't think I would like it but it turned out to be more interesting than I expected it to be.

### 3/5 — okay

*2016-11-08, version 1.1.2*

this game was pretty fun to play. interesting, unique concept and a few funny moments. but it is not worth $5. it's a very short game and it doesn't go very in depth in regards to the characters. you can't even become friends with anyone. i wouldn't nitpick over this if it weren't for the fact that the ad free version of this game is so high in price. there are much better, more involved choice of game games for $2-$4 and i feel like the $5 price on this game makes it deserving of higher expectations. that said, if you don't mind the occasional ad and the ad banner at the bottom of your screen, it's a fun little game to play through:)

### 4/5 — Fun

*2016-07-10, version 1.1.2*

Character development and plot could have been better for Russell Audrey and the rival.

Unsure how many endings there are in total, I got around 4, but judging from answers in forum, not many. This means your choices do not affect too much in your outcome

### 3/5 — These kinds of stories are great.

*2016-05-04, version 1.1.2*

I've done a few of these now and I'm really enjoying them! This particular one had an unusual answer to what was wrong with the house. I didn't like the forced choices however. You are made to play as a fearful employee, and as a total skeptic of ghosts. You aren't given many chances to care about anyone but yourself really.

### 3/5 — Quirky

*2016-03-30, version 1.1.2*

There's nothing wrong with the game itself, but there's nothing that stands out either. Perhaps it's the setting or plot, but the story just didn't hook me.

I wouldn't use this game as the barometer for the quality of this developer's other games. If you'd like to try a good, free game from this developer, try Choice of the Dragon or Choice of Broadsides instead.

### 4/5 — Loved it!

*2015-11-28, version 1.1.2*

I played this through a few times and I liked it a lot! I would defiantly recommend downloading.

### 5/5 — Very good

*2015-08-27*

Wasn't sure what to expect with this as I had not really read ahead

Turned out to be a fantastic little Adventure very pleased just wish more of these games were free even with ads 🙏🙏🙏

### 5/5 — A well put together adventure

*2015-08-25, version 1.1.2*

I had no idea what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. There's never a dull moment here where you play a real estate agent fighting to keep your job. The problem is that you are saddled with renting out a haunted house. You must get as much as you can from your rentals to survive in your firm. An arch rival will take your job if you don't. You can be as amoral as you like or feel comfortable with. Well worth playing.

### 4/5 — Good storyline

*2015-07-14, version 1.1.2*

I remember the first 'choice of' game I played was quite dumb a few years ago. All the options seemed to be fairly useless and didn't change/or progress the story at all. It was mostly annoying because these stories have a decided future no matter what decision or choice you make. Not to mention most of the choices just don't seem...human. Like why the friz would someone continue selling a house if they know it's haunted and causing ruin to everyone's lives?! Anyway I did like the slight humor in some parts. It really psyched me up. Otherwise the main character isn't likeable, the story lacks depth (previous occupants and why the house wants to eat people maybe?!) I would probably pay for a sequel with a better main character and a deeper far more interesting story!

### 4/5 — Good game

*2015-05-03, version 1.0.0*

Fun and lengthy. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

### 3/5 — Bought it awhile ago

*2015-02-12, version 1.1.2*

So it's nice that it's now free but it's quite pricy at 4.99 luckily I got it for the standard 1.99

Story wise it's interesting and it is fun

### 5/5 — Well Written and Interesting

*2015-02-08, version 1.1.2*

It is well written and offers many different options to choose from during the story. Plus it is free unless you are bothered by ads or don't want to wait 20 minutes in-between games. Give it a try!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Offensive inappropriate ads

*2019-03-11*

This game was absolutely ruined by a really horrific, scary ad, baiting children into thinking something happened to their mothers, pretty sick for children like mine who live with a sick mother and children who have already lost a mother. I am writing the company an official complaint, the ad is not suitable for a game rated 12+. There was also another advert designed to trick you into playing that game. Pretty rubbish standards so I have deleted it after a handful of mediocre written pages.

### 1/5 — Scam!!!

*2017-10-29*

Do not pay for this game! They say that there will be no more ads if you upgrade, then deny that you paid, even though you have proof. Choice of games are a scam! Avoid!

### 1/5 — WORTHLESS

*2017-03-27, version 1.1.2*

Choice of Games are normally great, but NOT THIS ONE! Writing is decent, but choices rarely vary or matter. Cantankerous, monotonous, and depressing. NOT WORTH PAYING FOR!!!!

### 1/5 — Not worth a dime

*2015-12-14, version 1.1.2*

I've been a continuous customer of Choice of Games llc and have never been disappointed until now. After buying serval games and reading them all multiple times I decided to browse further into the options given. I found this title decided to give it a try and found myself regretting the download. If your looking for a title worthy of your time and not pricey I suggest giving broadsides a chance. Or if u have read a few of coc's games a few personal favorites are the Heros rise series and Deathless. I hope this helps you avoid the disappointment of wasting your time on this title

### 1/5 — Not even worth the download

*2015-08-13, version 1.1.2*

I thought it'd be at least a little decent, so I decided to give it a chance. I see that was a mistake now because this game is just a total waste of time with annoying ads.

### 1/5 — Not free

*2015-02-04, version 1.1.2*

This game is listed as now being free from $1.99.
Considering that, I was put off that it asks you to pay $4.99(inflation?), if you want give it a try without being annoyed by ads.
The dev. requests that you leave a review because it makes a difference.
I hope this review helps the developer try a different, more honest sales approach.

### 1/5 — Really?

*2015-02-04, version 1.1.2*

After paying for the app, it goes free a few weeks later.... Permanently.

### 1/5 — 매출떳어요 빨리취소해주세요. Money again to mel

*2012-09-01*

Ya
Again give me to money

### 2/5 — Eh...

*2015-06-27, version 1.1.2*

The setting was already not much of my cup of tea, but the more I played and tried to get invested, the less the game gave me a reason to. Want to play game where your choices feel pointless or mostly negative outcomes? This is the game for you.

### 2/5 — Kiddie Book

*2015-03-20, version 1.1.2*

This book is for kids ages 8-12 and would be 3 stars if that you. I doubt many over 10 would read it and rate it higher then 3 stars. The story fails to go in depth about the house or afterlife and this makes it lack interest. The focus is on you and your goal/job. Your not in the house so much.
I played a quick second time and got another super short ending but it was different from the first super short ending.
Price started way high but dropped due to lack of interest I think then became free due continued disinterest.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2018-06-18*

Really love this game, brilliantly written and replay-able. 5 stars!

### 5/5 — Fun!

*2018-02-13*

Strong five stars. Maybe just a little bit too short in my opinion. Still - love it. I’ve just recommended it to my estate agent friend. We’ll see how she likes it!

### 5/5 — Hauntingly Good

*2016-07-09, version 1.1.2*

I don't know why some people have said that this story is so lame. I have played many CoG games and this is absolutely one of the best. The story is endlessly entertaining. The best part: it's totally free. You can buy the upgrade to eliminate the ads and lose the wait time between games, but you don't need to. The ads are mostly small banners on the bottom of the screen that I barely noticed and it's only a 20 minute wait between games. I highly recommend this game to everyone. You will love it!

### 5/5 — Cute story

*2016-04-25, version 1.1.2*

Fun story to play, if you take it on its own terms and don't try to think too hard about it.

Certainly better than many of the latest offerings from Choice of Games, which for some reason are heavily laden with asinine metaphors about transsexuality.

### 5/5 — I beat it

*2016-03-19, version 1.1.2*

I got to 19,444 and won the game , but it will take you a lot of good decisions and patience to get there. Only absolutely correct decisions will lead you to a victory

### 5/5 — Good

*2016-02-20, version 1.1.2*

For a free game it's really good.

### 5/5 — Best one

*2016-02-15*

You can believe you are the character and there are nothing ridiculous fights and other nonsenses like the other games (except for the situation itself, but thats just spice it as you still have the same choices as a normal person would have) nice replaying volume.

### 5/5 — Good game

*2015-12-28, version 1.1.2*

Its a pretty good game :)

I think the length was good for a free/low-price game, there's a couple cool different endings that i saw.

4.5/5 stars

### 5/5 — Fun!

*2015-12-03, version 1.1.2*

Enjoyed

### 5/5 — :D I Love It! :D

*2015-11-25, version 1.1.2*

One of the best's! I love it, it's one of my favorites! I really love the floating car! And that women, she thinks she can kill me with a candle stick? It wasn't even lit! I really love the game. It was exciting well at other times funny. I really want to see more in the future.
