## What is Forager's Field Notes?

Forager's Field Notes is a private foraging journal and field log — a fast, offline place to remember every find and every secret patch, with deterministic seasonality insights built only from your own history. No account. No ads. Your spots never leave your phone.

This is a foraging journal, not a plant or mushroom identifier. The app never identifies a species and never tells you anything is edible or safe to eat. You are the forager; Field Notes simply helps you remember, learn, and stay organized — and puts every decision, and the responsibility for it, with you.

• Photos on your finds — promised from the start, never actually built. Existing entries migrate untouched, and pictures never leave your device.
• Fixed a crash that could hit when moving between Journal and Patches. It sat directly between you and logging a find.
• We cut two Pro bullets rather than fake them. The patch map is deliberately tile-free — that is what makes it work in airplane mode with nothing to pre-download — so there is no basemap to cache. And patches were never capped, so "unlimited patches" sold you something you already had.
