### 1/5 — Super buggy junk

*2019-12-26, version 2.4*

The Force Link wristband is total junk! Initially got the wristband connected to the app & started downloading the update but it took FOREVER to try to get the double tap right so that it would initiate. Then took FOREVER to do the first of THREE updates & then you have to re-pair the wristband & app with the super tricky double tap between each update! Once we got through all that (TWO HOURS LATER!) the connection was lost and never got anything to work. Could never get them to pair up again! Complete waste of time and money and my kid was totally disappointed. DELETE & RETURN!!

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work

*2019-11-09, version 2.4*

What a waste of two hours. It’s going back to the store.

### 1/5 — Horrendous

*2019-08-04, version 2.4*

Just horrible. There should be a recall and full refund for this crap. The double tap doesn’t work. My 5 year old is so frustrated. None of the new toys can be listened to. Hasbro should be ashamed. Why should you have to do a software update on a brand new product for a children’s toy?!?!?!

### 1/5 — Won’t Even Connect to my phone

*2019-08-03, version 2.4*

I tried updating the device but it didn’t work and I gave up. Tried it again today and won’t even connect to my phone at all. Now we have 3 figures who won’t talk. Just don’t get this at all or get the force link 1.0. So annoying:(

### 1/5 — Bricked

*2019-06-29, version 2.4*

Was making two voice lines prior to update, now doesn't work at all

### 1/5 — Crap, crap, crap

*2019-04-13, version 2.4*

I wish I could give it zero stars. This app is complete crap. The double tap feature simply doesn’t work. We uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted, were super careful to follow instructions, etc. My 6 year old is SO disappointed. He saved up to buy this for a long time, only to be completely let down. Thanks a lot, Hasbro.

### 2/5 — Looper

*2019-03-25, version 2.4*

The app loads, connects to the wrist device, seems update... but then gets stuck in a loop. Tap... 2 seconds... Tap... 2 seconds... and that’s that.

### 1/5 — app

*2019-02-22, version 2.4*

the app cannot be downloaded

### 1/5 — “It’s a Trap!”

*2019-02-07, version 2.4*

Need I say more?

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2019-01-20, version 2.4*

Tapping forever but device never recognizes the tapping...why even necessary do tap the device to do a software update? Waste of money, sorry for my disappointment kid

### 1/5 — Absolutely Horrible and disappointing

*2018-12-25, version 2.4*

Wow. My 6 year old was excited to get this. He got the starter pack, Wampa, two extra figures and a pack of four figures.

After an hour of this stupid ‘double tap to update’ nonsense, I started reading online about the issues with this product.

Apparently this has been broken since APRIL.

We spent close to $100 on these products and now we’ll be taking every bit of it back for refunds. Don’t waste your time and money on these toys.

### 1/5 — The worst

*2018-12-25, version 2.4*

The double tap doesnt work properly, you will spend more time trying to double tap to have it sync with your phone. Then it will take about 20-30 minutes updating... then it will disconnect, which you will have to start double tapping again to get it to sync. this process takes over an hour, only for the app to say you have to restart the app and double tap your way into a successful update. I really hate this toy and app. so not worth it.

### 1/5 — Great concept, failed execution

*2018-12-24, version 2.4*

This app is trash. It doesn’t pair well or update correctly. Idea is good, but it doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Totally unnecessary- Junk

*2018-12-18, version 2.4*

Bought the Force Link 2.0 for my 4yo’s birthday, and several characters and ships. The fact that you need to download an app and sync the Force Link 2.0 via Bluetooth is totally unnecessary. The only reason Hasbro does this is to track you, and probably dissect my device for more user information. In addition to that, the sync had all the the problems previous users explained. And to top it off, it lost Bluetooth connectivity during the sync and would not pair with any of my devices. Needless to say, the Force Link 2.0 is getting returned, and the fact that users need to use an app seems quite frankly an attempt to monitor my personal information.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-11-29, version 2.4*

This is embarrassing for Hasbro to have this out there. They never got the app to work and they stopped working on it 4 years ago. After trial and error I’m able to get my device “Up to Date” but my force Link toys still say: “Firmware Update Required.” Garbage app

### 1/5 — Slow

*2022-09-28, version 2.4*

Super slow, reminded me of connecting to the internet through the telephone line years ago….

### 1/5 — Poor product

*2021-11-27, version 2.4*

Would not link with taps. Finally did, waited 40 mins for update and shutdown again. Don’t waste your money

### 1/5 — Dollar store toy

*2021-02-27, version 2.4*

Lol I was surprised to see such a fancy “Star Wars” toy at the dollar store now I see why 😂

### 1/5 — My fingertip is completely ruined

*2020-08-21, version 2.4*

I double tapped the crap out of this thing. Why make an app that doesn’t work? Did nobody at Hasbeen even test this? Why does it have to pair with a phone? I threw my gauntlet wrist thing in the forest where I Hope it decays into a cockroach nest. Everything about this toy reminds me why it’s pointless to ever long for joy.

### 1/5 — Really excited to try it

*2020-08-01, version 2.4*

I went to a toy store and bought this I I got batteries and I downloaded the app and following instructions and it said 15 foot away from device and we did and It didn’t work so this is a piece of junk so take this Down of toy stores ok My child was sad

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2020-04-13, version 2.4*

Double Tap doesn’t seem to work, not wasting my time

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2020-02-08, version 2.4*

The app won’t even download so I can’t even use it

### 1/5 — I give up

*2020-02-01, version 2.4*

I sat here for over half an hour trying to tap to update and finally gave up. My son is just going to have to listen to “firmware update required” until the batteries die or we take them out.

### 1/5 — I want to double tap this to the trash

*2019-12-26, version 2.4*

Ridiculous you have to update app/software for these toys to make sound effects. Tried for 30 minutes to double tap the underside of the gauntlet to no avail. Great looking toys, just terrible idea to integrate the software. Will be returned. I would jut throw them in the trash but I want my $$$ back.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Give it time

*2021-07-04, version 2.4*

This is a good product. If you give it the time it needs, if you give a few minutes it will get everything done and set up

### 5/5 — So not fun

*2021-02-02, version 2.4*

I don’t know what it supposed to do I don’t know if you’re supposed to scan your toy or if it’s just some instructions.

### 5/5 — Force Link 2.0

*2020-02-08, version 2.4*

When I use the app it is good but it takes FOREVER to download. But the Bluetooth part is unnecessary..

### 5/5 — Couldn’t get pass the “tap device twice to update”

*2019-02-26, version 2.4*

Review update: It helps to restart your smartphone.

I read all instructions but not updating. It does find it and ask to connect. But then the prompt says tap the device twice. I did but no update prompt. Only flashing tap and wait.

### 5/5 — I love it!!

*2018-10-17, version 2.4*

My only complaint is having to uninstall and re install the app with every update to make it work. My sons and I love playing with the force link!

### 5/5 — Update to my previous review

*2018-10-16, version 2.4*

Finally! Ok Hasbro, you did good on this last update. I have to give you credit. Everything works great now. Don’t give up on Force Link on your next Star Wars line. It’s a cool feature, just be a little more forthcoming with the updates. 😊

### 5/5 — Great app

*2018-05-08, version 1.6*

I’m not sure why there are so many negative comments when it’s pretty straight forward to connect your forcelink to the app via Bluetooth for the update. My only complaint is the update took a while to complete.

### 4/5 — Force Link 2.0

*2018-12-18, version 2.4*

I got all but a few of the figures and also from Wave 1 but I got the figure set of Rose and the 2 BB-8 and 9e droids. Those guys won’t talk or beep or whatever you call their talk, it just says Firmware update required. And some of them seem to get stuck. It just upsets me my BB-8 & 9e 2on’t talk, either one? So, help! Fix it somthey work and I’ll gladly give you 5 stars.

### 4/5 — Why is it need it now

*2018-07-29, version 2.1*

You didn't need the app before, why now

### 3/5 — Neat but Extremely SLOW

*2021-03-06, version 2.4*

I am a Star Wars fan and I thought this looked cool but well.. I downloaded the app and once it started the first update out of three it took almost two hours for the first update to finish. Then even after it was done, randomly when it would move it would make blaster noises and Han Solo quotes but it never would work when I wanted it to. Neat thing but a little junky. Pretty disappointing cause my app wasn’t working right and the toy was being random. :(
