### 3/5 — Fix facial recognition

*2026-06-12, version 2.3.9*

The app is basically good. Video content for exercises and care instructions work well. After the latest update, the iOS facial recognition runs and gives a check that it was successful but then it requires a login anyway. Please fix.

### 3/5 — Recovery

*2026-06-03, version 2.3.9*

The app has been extremely helpful during recovery. I appreciate the daily communication and easy to understand videos and descriptions of what can be expected. Recovery is TRULY a challenging process and the app was comforting when I needed assurance that I could get through this.

### 3/5 — App Gets Stuck

*2026-05-20, version 2.3.9*

Every day , the app gets stuck by showing logging in on screen when clicking on other options within the app. Also, sometimes during the day, it logs me out after closing the app.

### 4/5 — Needs some work improvements

*2026-05-14, version 2.3.9*

I like the connection to my care team & the exercises. I do not like that for the progress you cannot enter - no change. It is not logical to think there is either progress or regression each day. Sometimes it is just the same as the day before.

### 2/5 — Annoying and unnecessary

*2026-03-25, version 2.3.7*

My doctor asked that I download and use this app but it is excessively annoying and intrusive. PT 3 times a week and walking is enough, this just seems like another unnecessary app that collects my information.

### 4/5 — Force as in FORCE

*2026-01-18, version 2.3.5*

When a lot of info is coming at you while you’re in pain, looking at this app multiple x/day and seeing the name FORCE didn’t do much for my desire to engage with it. It isn’t a cosmic force, or a math computation of force. That just leaves “you are forced to do this. We’re not on your side, we’re not here to work with you. Don’t need catchy marketing (ugh) but to this patient, something more supportive to greet us when forced to use it in place of nursing care.

### 3/5 — Cannot log exercises

*2025-12-21, version 2.3.4*

It’s great to have the videos of the exercises. However, it’s super frustrating not to be able to log my exercises. Support told me I had an old version but I’m on the latest version 2.3.4. I deleted and re downloaded the app. It still will not let me log my exercises. I’m in pre-surgery now. It’s really going to be frustrating post-surgery.

### 3/5 — I didn’t find Force particularly helpful

*2025-12-16, version 2.3.4*

I didn’t find Force particularly helpful. I’d rather deal with a person. I feel as if I’m dealing with a robot. In my particular case, I would have been better served in a rehab center. My recovery was not enhanced by using this app. Physical therapy is preferable for recovery.

### 3/5 — Good idea but needs improvement

*2025-12-04, version 2.3.4*

Should allow for pictures/videos to be attached to messages
Exercises with holding times should include a timer
Some times the “Done” icon gets activated when adding comments in log tab.

### 4/5 — Problems recording tasks

*2025-11-09, version 2.3.4*

Some of the videos wouldn’t start
Also while trying to complete tasks they continued to say not started even though I had already completed several tasks

### 4/5 — Password?

*2025-10-23, version 2.3.3*

Not sure why I need the password if I’ve enabled touch ID… I can log in but not change my password using the same password with which I logged.
Doesn’t make sense!

### 4/5 — Force app

*2025-10-08, version 2.3.2*

This app is very cumbersome to follow as you are doing your exercises.
It is not continuous and you have to close each exercise to find the next step.

### 4/5 — Why Force an update

*2025-06-12, version 2.2.0*

This morning with a morning of my scheduled surgery. I was checking force and was forced to do an update of the app. Seems like it was just for minor improvements and that there could’ve been an opt out of that update which would’ve been nice.otherwise otherwise a good app.

### 4/5 — Knee Replacement

*2025-05-13, version 2.1.63*

Just had my knee replacement. Really like the clear, easy to follow videos and interaction with the Care team. They are very responsive and the App is useful to track and engage my care plan. I live two hours from the Dr. so this has made it great. So much better to manage at home and allows me to drive my recovery but stay connected as though I was in the office. The tech just works to enhance the medical.

### 3/5 — Face ID Not Working

*2025-05-06, version 2.1.63*

Face ID fails after installation. You can see that it tries but quickly reverts to the user ID and password prompts. Therafter, it never attemps face ID again and only prompts for user ID and password.

### 3/5 — Too Glitchy

*2025-04-03, version 2.1.63*

The app works even with Face ID login checked requires entering user id and password every time. It also doesn’t interact with the task log very well. Most of the time I have t go to the web version to close out task.

### 3/5 — Could be much better

*2025-03-31, version 2.1.63*

App is decent but could be 5 stars, if there were a few additional features.
1. Should have ability to rate each exercise instead of aggregating the exercise set.
2. It would very helpful to add a Journal to the main page. If you want to make general updates/comments; you have to use their message link. This may inundate the staff with your "comments" that don't require any action from the staff.
3. Reporting pain level would probably be more effective and accurate, if collected every 3 or 5 hours and then automatically calculated the average.
4. Add menu item that pictures and/videos can be stored. This will allow user/staff to see timeline of pictures/videos.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — A I stupidity

*2026-02-09, version 2.3.6*

I agree with Patti, this app is a feeble attempt to do the simple task of communicating with my doctor and team. No questions answered, no information provided that isn’t obvious already. May as well ‘bark at the moon’ !!!
Thanks for nothing.

### 1/5 — Verification fails

*2026-02-03, version 2.3.6*

Unable to review

### 1/5 — Problems accessing and recording tasks

*2025-11-22, version 2.3.4*

Some of the videos wouldn’t start
Also while trying to complete tasks they continued to say not started even though I had already completed several tasks
I have a second surgery scheduled now, but I haven’t had my first surgery yet
My first surgery is in nine days and I still have work to do for that surgery. My second surgery is scheduled for 10 weeks from now and because that’s now in my future, I no longer can access. The calendars and logs for my tasks and etc., for my first surgery.
I do so hope they get this problem fixed

### 1/5 — Not user friendly at all!

*2025-03-31, version 2.1.63*

Hard to understand, hard to setup, navigation is confusing, and limited value for the patient. Surely there a better a program out there for seniors.

### 1/5 — Completely worthless

*2025-03-30, version 2.1.63*

To do anything in this app takes switching between 3 or 4 pages. About half the time it takes a couple of attempts to get the update recorded. A completely worthless app. A lot of the post op exercises conflict with what my Physical Therapist directed. I told the surgeon’s office I was going to follow PT direction. They replied that was their expectation. Keeps getting worse. Appears there is a new version of this app that Force claims has a new exercise logging experience. I downloaded the alleged new version and there was NO change in the logging experience. I still have to go through three or four screens to update the log. This company needs to hire someone that knows what they are doing.

### 1/5 — Poor customer support on the app

*2025-02-11, version 2.1.58*

I just wanted to ask a simple question and it makes you answer question that has nothing to do with the help I need. It asked to I install another app. It didn’t give any information when I can install it because it was an important part and now I cannot get to it. When I went back to ad it it says I need to finish a section I already completed. So I tried it edit it and please them and did not make a bit of difference. Still said I had to do my goals. I did that. They want you to do all this but make it too difficult. I don’t understand why everyone has to make everything so difficult. So. Now I have to tell the doctor I can’t use this important app for my recovery. I despise technology.

### 1/5 — Give me a break!

*2025-02-08, version 2.1.57*

I’ve got to wonder-have the people that prescribe this app ever used it? If so, I think I need to get someone new to operate on me! It’s not very good. Perhaps it’s because the average hip replacement patient is old and still using his original flip phone. I think it’s a great idea, it’s just very disappointing. Sorry.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-09-01, version 2.1.50*

The app has not worked correctly for about half of my recovery period thus far. One week it required an update almost every time I opened it. Often, I would have to leave the app because it was not working properly and open it again. For about a week, I have been unable to log my exercises. I do not recommend this app for physical therapy. Insist on in person PT.

### 1/5 — Keeps getting worse

*2024-06-27*

When I first started using this app I rated it as worthless. After using it for several weeks I’ve decided it’s even worse. You can not transition directly between pages you have Tim use the menu. If you make a incorrect entry it can not be corrected. About half the time when attempting to update an exercise session they Al update for no apparent reason.

The more I use this app the more pathetic it is. When recording the suggested exercises sometime the app updates and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes when updating a session they all update and sometimes nothing updates. This app is completely worthless.

### 1/5 — Unusable app

*2024-04-26, version 2.1.40*

I can’t even open the app - I get a “System Requirements” message as soon as the app starts that says “this app only supported by unmodified devices” and the only option is to dismiss the message and the app then shuts down. I can assure you, there is nothing “modified” about my iPhone 14 Pro iOS version 17.4.1, which is the latest software available.

Give an option to fix, a workaround, or a resolution to this so-called System Requirement message or this app is completely useless, 0 out of 5.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app; streamlines pre-surgical communication

*2026-04-02, version 2.3.7*

Live in a remote, rural county. The hospital is forty miles away; and there are several different offices. This app really helps streamline communication, by providing exercises and all sorts of helpful information specific to my surgery. I just with the office would turn on the text part, but they must not want to be dealing with another layer of patient communication.

Initially, I was a tad overwhelmed by all of the info, but after a brief learning curve, it’s nice to have the excellent exercises/videos, and all the other info, including reminders of what to wear/bring to the hospital, at hand. It helps make one feel connected. Good app! Thank you.

### 5/5 — Excellent Communication

*2026-02-24, version 2.3.7*

This Force app is amazing! I have constant communication with the doctors and nurses on my surgeons team. A couple weeks before surgery, Force sends daily messages to read/respond to concerning my pain level; what to expect; and, what tasks I must complete that involve educating me.
I feel like I’m cared for😃

### 5/5 — Patient

*2025-12-23, version 2.3.5*

I would much rather talk to a human

### 5/5 — Left hip replacement

*2025-08-14, version 2.3.0*

Dr Poole is incredible.
The staff were very professional and friendly.

### 5/5 — Pre-Op total hip replacement

*2025-06-25, version 2.2.1*

Wow “Force” is an amazing …. I feel very comfortable with the organisation and design of the app . It keeps everything in one place in regards to my upcoming surgery, my tasks and goals after !! This is leaps and bounds above the “dark ages” of my other two knee surgery in the 1970’s !! Orthopaedic surgery, as in all medicine, has certainly made amazing progress !! 😁😁👍👍

### 5/5 — Hip replacement

*2025-05-17, version 2.1.63*

App is extremely easy to use and helpful. Kinda nice having it to do at my own pace, refer to AND be able to contact the doctors office.

### 5/5 — Double hip replacement

*2025-05-09, version 2.1.63*

Used this after my double hip replacement. It was easy to follow and was so much more convenient than schlepping to a therapy practice a couple days a week, especially considering we had sold our home and had to relocate to another city the day after surgery.

### 5/5 — My quad

*2025-04-26, version 2.1.63*

The force app has been the best app for my recovery I have used it with all my operations and recovery thank you

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2025-04-03, version 2.1.63*

This app is easy to use and provides a lot of great information.

### 5/5 — Always

*2025-03-11, version 2.1.61*

Informative instructive and very inclusive
