## What is ForgivEase?

ForgivEase is a private forgiveness practice app for people who want a calm, structured way to release resentment, guilt, fear, shame, anger, and painful inner pictures.

Begin with Start Here and choose the practice that fits the present moment. From Grievance to Peace offers a fourteen-step path from a fixed grievance toward a steadier view. English users can choose bundled guided narration for this process, pause or stop the session, and combine it with an optional ambient sound during practice. The narration was created with OpenAI text-to-speech using the Marin voice and reviewed ForgivEase scripts.

The app also includes daily release cards, emotional check-ins, quick reset practices, deeper reflection, meditation, private writing, emotional ratings, reminders, local notes, PDF exports, and encrypted local backups. A reorganized Home keeps the next practice easy to find. A compact Settings hub opens focused areas for appearance, language, privacy, profiles, audio, reminders, backup, and support.

ForgivEase is designed for private reflection. Practice history stays on the device by default, and the core app works without an account. Private local profiles can separate history, notes, settings, and drafts on one device. An optional PIN and supported device biometrics can protect a selected profile. The active profile can be deleted from Settings after a confirmation step.

Optional background sound includes rain, ocean waves, brown noise, forest sounds, soft piano, forest lullaby, and acoustic soft music. Users can select a sound, adjust its level, set a timer, pause it, or turn it off. Audio credits and license notes are available inside Settings.

Daily Prayer is available for people who believe in God. Meditation, reflective writing, and universal forgiveness practices remain available for atheists, agnostics, and people who prefer a non-religious approach. Source-specific spiritual context appears in optional deeper material.

ForgivEase is localized in English, Spanish, French, Croatian, Russian, Serbian in Cyrillic and Latin scripts, German, and Simplified Chinese.

ForgivEase can support:

* Releasing resentment after conflict
* Practicing self-forgiveness with responsibility
* Keeping peace beside firm boundaries
* Writing a private letter that remains unsent
* Returning to a calmer view through meditation
* Noticing emotional movement before and after practice
* Using gentle sound during reading or reflection
* Organizing related practices with private profiles and aliases

ForgivEase is a wellness and spiritual self-help tool. It supports reflection and inner practice. Diagnosis, treatment, crisis care, legal advice, and professional mental health care remain outside the app scope. A person who may be in danger or at risk of harm should seek local emergency help or qualified support immediately.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.5.0 — 2026-07-12

ForgivEase 3.5.0 introduces a redesigned Home and Settings experience, with Start Here leading to the expanded From Grievance to Peace practice. The fourteen-step English guided session includes bundled AI-generated narration and optional ambient sound controls. This release also brings refreshed light, dark, tinted, adaptive, and monochrome icons, refined heading typography, improved Android spacing, and localization corrections across nine language variants.

### 2.2.0 — 2026-06-29

Version 2.2.0 introduces a completely renewed collection of 75 daily forgiveness thoughts across every supported localization. A new thought appears each day in a consistent UTC sequence, and the new Another Thought control offers another reflection whenever it is useful.

This update also improves thought readability across screen sizes and languages. Internal links and iOS Home Screen quick actions now open the exact practice, meditation, Library item, or Settings section requested.

### 2.1.3 — 2026-06-27

Version 2.1.3 improves localization polish across supported languages, fixes Serbian language names in Settings, strengthens dark mode contrast on key cards, and adds iOS Home Screen quick actions for faster practice starts.

This update also refines the Support card while store products are being prepared, removes user-facing store-sheet wording, and updates iOS and Android app icon assets for a cleaner launch appearance.

### 2.1.0 — 2026-06-24

ForgivEase 2.1.0 adds Daily Prayer, Daily Meditation, and Letter I will never send practices. This build also fixes Serbian Cyrillic and Balkan Latin character rendering, improves Serbian and Croatian Settings labels, and refreshes the iOS dark mode app icon with a calmer visual style.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-06-22

ForgivEase 2.0.1 adds a clearer starting point for every forgiveness process.

You can now tap your starting emotional state before practice, with both supportive emotions and painful emotions available. This gives the final rating a real reference point.

Completed processes now keep path names and labels localized across the app. The first visit also begins with a warmer welcome and gentler onboarding.

The app interface supports English, Spanish, Serbian Latin, Serbian Cyrillic, Croatian, Russian, French, German, and Simplified Chinese. App Store screenshots for this release are captured in English.
