### 2/5 — Riddled with flaws

The concept is great but there are so many flaws. For example if your party orders 3 drinks with the same name the app recognizes it and lets you dole out the drinks. But once you’ve assigned them out you cannot deselect with out fully restarting the bill process and rescanning the bill. 

There’s no reset button if you just want to start over when assigning dishes to people. 

Even though the app allows you to assign 2 of the same drink to someone and 1 to someone else, it doesn’t recognize that it should tabulate that still in thirds. Instead since only 2 people were selected it calculates that as splitting the drink total in half. 

Once you’ve progressed forward beyond assigning, you can’t go back if you see you’ve made a mistake. The split is final which means starting the whole process from the top again.

Scanned "Cauliflower" and got back "CUL1FL0WR"? Tap any item name on the bill entry screen and fix it right there. No re-scanning, no squinting, no swearing at your phone in the restaurant bathroom.

Past splits are now editable too. Open one from History, hit Edit, and walk back through the whole flow. Change who ate what, fix a tax you forgot, swap the payer. The original date sticks so it still belongs to last Tuesday, and a tiny EDITED tag tells future-you that you tinkered.

Receipt scans got a lot smarter. We now pull tips off the slip (even the handwritten ones on card receipts), catch service charges, cover charges, and any other surcharge your restaurant invented this week.

Travelling somewhere with VAT baked into the price? We finally stopped stacking it on top like a lazy American. The new "Additional Fees" section lets you add anything weird your bill decided to include, and a running total on the entry screen tells you when our maths disagrees with the receipt. Gently. In yellow.

28 new currencies joined the party, including MYR (hi Malaysia), ZAR, NZD, CHF, HKD, TWD, CNY, VND, IDR, PHP, and a pile of others. Searchable now, because scrolling through forty of them was getting old. JPY and KRW also stopped pretending they have decimal places. That was embarrassing.
