## What is Formalhaut Yards?

This app lets you create and store a collection of starships for Fantasy Games Unlimited's Space Opera science fiction role-playing game.

Ships are generated using the rules in the Volume 2 rule book, modified for military starships published in the Seldon's Compendiums. All parameters may be edited and error conditions are noted.

The app includes databases of computer programs and small craft from the various rule books.

The logotype is a Registered Trademark of Fantasy Games Unlimited used with FGU’s permission.

Hi Art, big fan of your Traveller apps and now the Space Opera ones.  This is an excellent app.  There is only one bug that I’ve had an issue with.  When I allocate tonnage to extra Star Torp rounds it adds tonnage available to the ship instead of deducting.  Otherwise, great App! Love your work.  Brian

### 2.0 — 2025-09-16

Version 2.0 is a major update for the iPad. You can now pit your ship designs against each other in the new combat simulator. The space combat rules in chapter 10 of the Volume 2 rulebook have been implemented to a high degree. Multiple Battlescreens, computer size, individual crew ratings, and software programs are not considered but their effects are approximated. Ammunition usage is tracked. Each ship added to a scenario is assigned an average crew rating affected by Polity. Star torpedoes home on targets automatically and small craft may be given a rendezvous order to automatically return to their launching ship or to board an enemy ship. An event log lets you review the results as they occur or at the end of the scenario.
