Pricing options seem fair as well... likely to invest before the 14-day free trial expires. 7 more to test, but so far Format stands out far above the rest. ### 1/5 — App is lacking for a pro site *2026-02-27, version 2.16.5* There’s so many things you can’t do from your mobile phone either from the app or website, such as view client galleries and see client selections. ### 1/5 — Wow I had low expectations but … *2025-12-17, version 2.16.4* No effort at an iPad version?! I would even be fine with that if the iPhone version was any good or the android version even existed. I’ll look elsewhere next year when my membership expires. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2024-12-11, version 2.15.7* Useless ### 1/5 — Too basic to be useful *2024-10-15, version 2.15.5* The only reason to use this is because Format’s web interface is so unfathomably unfriendly on mobile. However, there is so much functionality missing in the app like no way to view and manage Client Galleries, that it’s not a helpful substitute anyway. Oh, and for crying out loud please make an iPad version, it just makes sense for a website builder. ### 1/5 — Need a full revamp *2024-05-07, version 2.15.0* This app is so slow, barebones and unpleasant to use that I legitimately don't understand its purpose for existing ### 2/5 — Very limited compared to the desktop *2024-04-27, version 2.14.1* I downloaded this app as I take pictures using my iPhone and wanted a quick and easy way to upload them into my store. Unfortunately I can’t access the store from the app, only my webpages. ### 1/5 — No regular updates or maintenance *2023-01-03, version 2.11.0* The last time this app was officially supported by updates was 2 years ago with regular updates. The last update was 2 weeks ago but beyond that it hasn't been updated in two years. Look at the revision history. It's no wonder this app has issues of force closing and just general errors where it won't even function. ### 1/5 — Useless *2022-12-24, version 2.11.0* Literally can’t do anything in the app. Useless ### 2/5 — Hard to Recommend *2022-12-16, version 2.9.1* It’s hard to recommend this as well as the main format subscription service. Forget about fast upload speeds. They take at least eight times as long as my last website server, which was zenfolio. The Lightroom plug-in is also very slow. This is extremely unacceptable for any type of professional, whose clients rely on them for fast turnaround. also forget if you’re any type of event or wedding photographer is trying to upload more than 200 photos at a time result in errors or having to skim through all your photos to see what actually uploaded and what didn’t. I chose format initially because of the presentation and clean looks of the site. But the uploading to the actual site is broken. I have the standard Internet service and 20+ years as a photographer. I have reached out to the customer service at least three times with no good solution to their team, which makes me think they can’t solve the number one thing that professional photographers need the most: a quality site to upload large quantities of photos in a timely manner for fast turnaround to your clients.
