There is a bug that causes trouble, it will delete your information randomly. Not so convenient to call customer and get information you’ve already asked for and entered in front of them ### 2/5 — Limited and Buggy *2025-02-01* There is a crash problem. The app functions are very basic at best, especially the field options. UI is what you get and the 5 form themes cannot be adjusted. Online resources is basic and glazes some of the basics. Text fields editing appears to be limited to the 1 font, using a single color and style choice. They limit the table field to subscription while their competitor Tap Forms offers it in the same priced paid app. Also you cannot adjust field layers so that fillable portions are on top without deleting and re-adding fields constantly. Online documentation and videos seem to be incomplete with even the basics. Like what is the PDF Text box option for when you can enter text whether it’s on or off. To be fair a lot of use cases do not require a lot of features, so this app might be enough to meet your goals. I am reviewing the paid and free app (not the subscription services or customer support). So I recommend trying the free one first with one month of subscription ($2) before committing to paid (or sticking with subscription). They do bug fix updates so I imagine the crash problem should disappear. They also do not collect data which is nice. ### 3/5 — Ok *2023-09-28* Does what it claims to do and has worked well for us for many years now. Shame the developers feel a 48% subscription increase is just. Will now be looking for another option, as feel developers are clearly heading in the route of many and just becoming overly greedy. A 10% price increase would have been justified but near 50% speaks volumes of the developer’s. ### 4/5 — Seems a very handy app to have *2020-03-09* I down loaded the app had a few problems to get it working due to my iPhone mail but all sorted and working fine, very handy app and I’m sure it will save me a lot of time doing paperwork on the move . ### 3/5 — Really good app until the last update *2020-02-26* Since the last update this app no longer sets default settings correctly and, more annoyingly, crashes EVERY single time I export a file. Leaving a three star rating until this is improved, at which point this will be a five star app again! **Developer response:** We're sorry that you are experiencing problems with exporting a file. So far I love the flexibility and ease of customization. Only drawback I see is that ir currently doesn't appear to support multiple device syncing. This feature is a must, as almost every user has more than one device (ie iPhone, iPad, etc). **Developer response:** The latest update (v2.1) supports multiple device syncing. ### 5/5 — Excellent, without being over complicated! *2018-08-22* After reviewing and reading reviews for over a month I came upon FormConnect and was instantly excited about the prospect of capturing the data I needed, without having to pay for things I didn’t need. It did take a bit to get started and when I had a question I submitted a customer service request. I received a call the same day and Steve spent over an hour going through the questions I had, and the functions he felt would be helpful. I cant wait to start using it because I know my clients will find the process much more comfortable and seamless. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — The app misrepresents itself. *2024-02-24* At least offer a free trial if you’re going to be missing a basic doc import feature. Terrible app ### 1/5 — App Crashing *2022-04-13* I’ve used FormConnect for over 2 years. No out of nowhere my app is crashing and I can’t open it. Please fix this so I give higher star rating. **Developer response:** You might be running into an issue with an older version of iOS. Check to make sure that you are running iOS 15.4 or higher. If you are not running iOS 15.4 or higher, open the Settings app and update your device. ### 1/5 — Update Needed *2020-11-19* The app is having issues on the iPad and iPhone. Numerous crashes. When signing you can no longer see the eraser button or one button which has always showed up in the past. When sending notes (even after locking signature) the signature will disappear. **Developer response:** We are sorry that you are experiencing problems with the signature field when signing the form. Unfortunately, we are not able confirm the problem that you are experiencing. We have opened numerous forms and can view the signature, eraser and lock buttons. We have also contacted several customers to confirm the problem that you are experiencing and none of them are experiencing it. We're not implying that you are not experiencing a problem, but we feel it would be advisable for you to call our technical support team so we can arrange for you to give us a live demo so that we can understand what is occurring. If it is a bug with our app, we will certainly fix it and if it is an issue with the way you are using the app, we would like to assist you with the proper use. But the key point here is that we need you to contact us to demonstrate the problem so we can replicate it and can confirm that there actually is a bug that needs to be fixed. Developer blames Apple and Apple blames the developer. Either way we all lose. I can’t believe my company would even consider this a viable product. HOT GARBAGE. The latest update is V2.1 which may have fixed some of the problems that you are experiencing. If you continue to experience problems, feel free to contact our technical support team and we will be glad to assist you. ### 1/5 — Broken since upgrade *2019-02-18* On the latest version everything I type on the form is lost when I move to the next page. **Developer response:** Your review indicates that you are running v1.8 of the FormConnect app which is not the latest version. V1.8 was released in 2017. The latest version of the FormConnect app is v1.9 which was released in September 2018. Perhaps you upgraded to the latest version of iOS (12.X) which would be incompatible with V1.8. The solution to your problem is to upgrade to v1.9. The upgrade is free so check the App Store for the upgrade. ### 1/5 — Date Issue *2018-06-07* My forms which have been working perfectly for years, has no stopped saving the date. Very annoying **Developer response:** I would check your iOS date & time settings and make sure that the 24-hour time setting is turned ON. ### 1/5 — Does not support PDF *2016-04-07* This app shows potential but as it does not support PDF format (particularly when so much electronic documentation is PDF based) therefore you cannot import your existing paperwork to go paperless. Unfortunately I only found this out AFTER purchasing the £10.99 app and on contact with the developer they show no interest in making the app PDF compatible. **Developer response:** We do support exporting forms in the PDF format. It's probably the most popular feature of the app. ### 1/5 — Doesn't do what it says on the tin.... *2016-02-10* The form is a great app but some of the functionality when transferring forms between iPads doesn't work as suggested. Instead of updating existing templates it duplicates them. It'd be nice to know when the app will do what it's says it should.... Unless I'm doing something wrong? I think it’s the best app of its kind in the AppStore ,when it comes to features,offline use, and support. The only thing I’d change is the ability to use transparent png images,using different fonts, and the ability to use and lock layers. Forms can be locked and automatically emailed- never lose critical info! ### 5/5 — So easy! *2021-03-08, version 2.7.5* Once you get to understand the form building tools is so easy to produce a form for whatever occasion. In 15 minutes yesterday I put together a form to cover risk assessment to comply with the service users requirements while I was still on the work site. We were awarded the purchase order and started the work because of the speed at which the assessment was was produced. Our competitors were still on their way back to their offices to change their standard risk assets comply. Electronic reporting that can include photo makes life soooo easy and there’s no paperwork to get lost.👌 ### 5/5 — Fantastic App and Developer *2020-10-01* I’ve been looking for an offline form app, and this works wonderfully. After creating multiple records offline, I can export as individual PDFs, or run some numbers in excel. I love this app! ### 5/5 — Excellent program *2019-10-14* Love form connect pro so useful in my business I use it fir client information and for invoicing, works a treat on my iPhone as well, only slight issue is it doesn’t sync devices but that’s nit really a major issue **Developer response:** Syncing is supported between iPad and iPhone devices and other users when you subscribe to FormConnect Pro+. Changes on one device will automatically sync to the other device. We also support collaboration between two or more individuals that wish to work on the same form and have their customer data synced between each other.
