I use this on a daily basis to send invoices and proposals to my clients. I even use it to send my mother the weekly tv football fixtures!! Highly recommended ### 5/5 — Perfect for independent contractors *2017-10-19, version v1.7.9.6* I use this for contracts for all of my clients. It creates a professional looking contract that is easy to modify. Just create your fields and modify what’s necessary for your client. Sign off on it and email it to all parties involved in one fell swoop. Best of all, you aren’t messing around with papers that can get lost or damaged. ### 2/5 — DO NOT BUY! *2017-06-18, version 1.7.9* This could be good...but it's not. There are simple, obvious things that it doesn't do - like change the order of the folders. The only way it seems you can do that is by erasing the folder - including ALL its content. Also, there's no back button so when you mistakenly brush the screen, things you created move or change, and it can take a while to fix - especially if you're trying to move a group of items. And there's no way to change text colors. It seems like the creators abandoned this and aren't making any improvements. I might try to use it because I payed around $12 for it, but I'll be looking for a replacement. UPDATE: Hahaha! There's just ONE place where you can change text color - and it's one of the LEAST used options. I honestly thought I missed it so I looked and looked, but couldn't find it. Then, after HOURS of trying to work with it, I stumbled across it. It would be great to see the changes you mentioned. A back button would go a long way. Being able to change the background would be a nice touch. And being able to change text color in the other 99% would be great! ### 5/5 — Very powerful tool. *2016-11-23* This is a fantastic app for data collection and completing checklists. My only request would be a MacOS app so you could create checklists in a desktop environment. Thank you for this app and empowering me to move away from excel. ### 4/5 — Good App, few minor issues *2016-09-19, version 1.7.9* OK, so I've been using FormConnect for some time now (years) and it's a great app for creating electronic forms for collecting data that you can keep and recall easily. A couple of issues that I wish they would address. One, auto save when designing a form. It's hard when you work on a form for hours just to have the app crash and you loose all that work. I know I can hit save, but when you're in the heat of the design, it's hard to remember and the auto save function is a basic feature these days. The second issue is I purchased the Pro version (upgrade) and it shows me as Pro on the app, but the app store shows the regular version and there's nowhere that I can find a place to do any upgrades. Funny and perplexing, but other than those two, it's an awesome app. ### 5/5 — Excellent Form App *2015-11-16, version 1.7.6* I've been using the Form Connect app for several years now. It is an excellent app for data collection. Far easier to use than other form apps that I have tried. Any issue that has come up in the past has been worked through with Steve...sometimes realizing the issue was on my end and sometimes resulting in new features being added to the app. I look forward to seeing what features lie ahead. ### 5/5 — Great App *2015-11-12, version 1.7.6* I was looking for an app for contracts, with placeholders or dynamic fields. Every other app on the app store for this has been abandoned or not updated and is non working. This is great to make a pre populated form, easy to tweak if needed, can save without boxes in the final form so it looks more like a document and not a spreadsheet! No annual subscription, free initial app, but I bought the pro version for field calculations. APP developer updates frequently to keep up with IOS changes. ONLY thing missing for me is a native contact import field, until then I'm copying and pasting all info into a text box. Also would like a theme with a plain white background, no clip or notebook shown when a client signs a form. Change background where folders are kept would be cool, but minor. I've tried all the form maker apps, take my word for it this is the most customizable updated app in the app store, thank you! ### 5/5 — Very Good Alternative *2015-03-13* With Adobe closing FormsCentral closing on 28th July 2015 I was looking for an alternative builder in particular one that would work seamlessly on my iPad. I have tried a few online alternatives that Adobe show on their website but they either were not that intuitive or expensive or other similar niggles. FormConnect I find so much easier, intuitive and certainly more custom-able than the others and FormsCentral. I am able to produce the form that I want to see and not constrained by the other web builder alternatives. It hasn't taken me that long to get to grips with FormConnect either and I would certainly recommend this app. ### 5/5 — Great DIY alternative to pricey surveying apps *2014-11-09* I love this app. Has saved me time and money in getting others to type up old paper reports. Now we send our reports straight to our customers. Very easy to use and looks great when you send in pdf. Versatile app which is great for people who carry out lots of surveys. ### 5/5 — Great *2014-09-22* I really like this form builder. I use it for ecological field surveys and enter biotic and abiotic data with ease. Takes a bit off fiddling around to figure out the best way to enter data to get a workable cvs file but worth the work. The entry is easy in the field and the data is ready to go as soon as I upload the cvs. Thank you for eliminating the mind numbing task of data entry. Please make updates to the pro version, that is not working well for me (location gps crashes app and calculation cell not user friendly). ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Refuses to test before pushing updates *2020-10-08, version 2.7.3* Every update they break something and then take two updates to fix. You can reach us at https://www.formconnections.com/contact/. ### 1/5 — Signatures don't transfer *2015-02-01, version 1.7.3* There are so many things I love about this app. But one of the most important reasons I purchased this app was so that I could have forms where I could collect and maintain client signatures long term without a paper backup. A couple of weeks after I purchased the app I also purchased a new iPad. When you transfer data from one iPad to another, everything transfers except the signatures. I asked the company for support and at first they responded, but when even the solution they offered didn't work and I asked for another option they stopped responding. It's really unfortunate because this is a pretty good app in all other ways. But not having signatures on consent forms exposes my business. This app desperately needs to be updated so that when users change iPads or have multiple devices they are using to manage forms all data including signatures transfers ### 1/5 — App crashes *2014-09-24* I previously had this app on my iPad 4 and never had an issue with it. Now with the new iPad Air on the latest OS it will not keep running it just crashes all the time. I checked forums in regards to this and found a large number of very dissatisfied purchasers with the same problem. ### 1/5 — Latest update data loss (v1.7) *2014-08-24* The latest version did a database update on first opening. Now every Page 1 (of 3) of any forms I have created are blank. As this contained client information to identify them Pages 2 and 3 are worthless as all Records are "unnamed". Prior to this really did enjoy utilising this app, but this is ridiculous, especially as all templates that came with the app have been updated unscathed. ### 1/5 — wasted my time & money -_- *2014-01-07, version 1.5.9* I was excited to use this app for my business. I have clients that have to fill out waivers & release forms for services & was tired of printing out the forms. I thought it would be great to be able to have an electronic version that I could send my clients prior to their appointment so they could fill them out & sign them & return back to me. Saving time & paper. The description says "be able to share with others". What it doesn't say is that the "others" must have an iPad & FormConnect on their iPad to be able to complete it. Very disappointed!! Also the customer service response when I asked a few questions was very poor. Basically a one sentence reply with best regards, then the reps name. If you need this app for anything like I did, look elsewhere do not waste your time or money. All my normal forms are in word format & there is not a away to import these to formconnect. You HAVE to start from scratch creating fields, labels, text the entire form has to be designed. ### 1/5 — Bug bug bug *2013-06-07* Lors de la conversion en PDF tout les formulaires se retrouvent avec la même signature donc pas pratique pour transférer les formulaires. Il faudrait corriger ce bug !!! s.v.p. !!! Merci ### 1/5 — Buggy app: Do not waste money *2013-06-01* I am using Pro version of FormConnect. It seems to be buggy and causing data loss & corruption. Do not waste money. It is a real shame that quality of this pricey app is a big question mark. I do appreciate its design but that is all. Advice: Please, engage some professional tester to ensure its quality. ### 1/5 — No Relations *2013-02-20, version 1.4.2* There are no relational fields, so you have to manually enter data for the same thing or person in other forms. At this time there is no calculation field. If you want multiple things calculated, you will have to calculate them yourself and put it in a text/numerical box. I like the form layout, but the functionality of this app is not very useful for me. I need an app that will bring data from other tables for multiple forms. If you are wanting this for invoicing, you will have to enter the same customer information again instead of using a master list or relating back to the same customer info from a previous invoice. I don't think $10 is worth this app at this version. ### 1/5 — Data Corruption *2012-05-22* The idea behind this app is awesome. I teach lifeguard courses and have just recently started using this app to record information about my students that I need to hang on to for years to come. I love the ability to create your own forms, move things around, change them after you have already made a couple of entries and have it be active in the previous entries as well. I also love the ease of use to get this program up and running. I have however found a glitch that I am extremely unhappy with. I was doing a test run with 15 entries and attempted to export them to a PDF format for safe keeping. When I did the export, it corrupted one of my files. Upon further tests, I was able to determine that whichever entry was currently open on the screen (highlighted if you will) was essentially changed. In my situation I had a TEST entry, It copied the information from the next entry (Andrew) and renamed the whole thing as my final entry (Yvonne). It did this with every type of file format and with any available program. As a business app, the fact that files are being changed during any kind of export means instability to me. It is imperative that I have the ability to copy my files fully, accurately and completely without the concern that the app is going to overwrite something. Indisputable indipensible ### 5/5 — Streamlined reports *2020-10-20, version 2.7.4* Form connect has really streamlined our reports, by allowing an easy to use interface for building and customizing the forms, and gave us flexibility to email them to customers on the spot. One of the great features that we use with customers is the signature box. We can make reports on the job and have the customer sign it and email them a copy for their records immediately. It’s also nice to have service reports, expense reports, inspection reports and quotes all in on place for immediate use. We also created a calibration report that we can send to each tech that is shareable and editable when sent as an FMC file. This is great when we want to keep a running log of calibrations on one sheet with different techs. ### 5/5 — Fabulous *2020-03-02* Such a great app have upgraded to the Pro for the sync facility. Been using for a number of years the updates and support are second to none. The support we got with a issue we had was fantastic, this app does exactly what it says and if it does not they fix it.
