## What is Formula Notebook?

A sauce needs less sweetness. An espresso needs a different yield. A drink needs a better balance. Keep the recipe, the change and your observations together.

Formula Notebook is a free offline notebook for chefs, baristas, bakers, bartenders, makers and anyone who develops recipes or formulations.

FOR THE KITCHEN
Record ingredients, quantities and preparation steps. Keep a base recipe, create a variation, and note what changed in flavor, texture or consistency. Scale ingredient quantities for a different batch size.

FOR COFFEE
Keep dose, target yield, temperature, grind settings and tasting notes in your own fields. Explore different adjustments from the same starting recipe without overwriting earlier versions.

FOR DRINK DEVELOPMENT
Record proportions, mixing steps, sweetness, acidity, aroma and dilution observations. Keep the notes that explain why you would repeat a version or adjust it again.

FOR OTHER FORMULATIONS
Choose your own ingredients, units, steps and observation fields. Use templates for repeatable records across food, craft and experimental workflows.

FOLLOW MORE THAN ONE IDEA
Branch from any version. Compare variations, record trial results and keep unresolved problems alongside the recipe you tested. Return to an earlier approach whenever you want to explore another direction.

KEEP CONTROL OF YOUR RECORDS
Your notebook stays on your device. No account, advertising, subscription, cloud sync or online AI. Export and import your own backups. If you choose a cloud service in the system share sheet, that transfer is your choice.

Available in English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Follow your device language or choose a language in Tools > Language. Store images show illustrative examples, not recommended recipes. Formula Notebook is a recordkeeping tool; it does not certify recipe safety or experimental results.
