## What is Formulator?

Formulator - Lye Calculator is a focused soapmaking calculator for makers who want clear lye and water numbers before they start a batch.

Build formulas from a multi-source SAP oil table, switch between grams and percentage mode, add custom manual SAP oils, adjust superfat and lye purity, and save recipes for later. The calculation receipt shows the zero-superfat lye, active lye, rounded final lye, rounded water, SAP dataset, and water model used for the result.

The app supports NaOH hard bar soap and KOH liquid or paste soap calculations, with safety warnings and scale-aware rounding: lye rounds down and water rounds up to 0.1 g.

For lye-based soap only. Always use proper personal protective equipment and safe soap making practices.
