It’s unsurpassed. Like the national coverage. ### 2/5 — Print Edition is a Disgrace *2026-07-03, version 11.1.11* I subscribe to the e-edition of several daily newspapers. The Star-Telegram is horrible compared to the others. Only three days of the week are available in this format. Also, when reading an article that is continued on another page you have to go page by page to get to it. I hate this. And when I called for Digital access. It was somebody in India, or someplace like that and he was not helpful because he could not see what I was seeing. ### 2/5 — Glitchy *2025-02-06, version 10.0.6* All stories do not load while scrolling through the articles. I expect to only access half the articles seamlessly. Time is too short to mess with this. Please fix it. ### 2/5 — Could be better. *2024-12-05, version 10.0.6* Sometimes the pages freeze, sometimes the next story you click on ends up opening a browser window instead of in the app, so you need to login again on the browser, and then if you close the browser window, yet another link to an article takes you back to the browser window again, then you log into the browser window again. Also, it doesn't remember what text size you chose, probably something to do with the articles opening outside the app in a browser window And the content could be better- not a lot of hard stories, it’s mostly click bait articles, inflammatory opinion pieces and crime porn. They used to have a problem renewing monthly subscriptions - I would always be told my subscription expired every new billing period, but I think they fixed that. ### 1/5 — Update made it worse *2024-05-02, version 10.0.1* I can’t even sign in now to read an article. It tends to work as expected (e.g it actually starts up and displays information) around 50% of the time. The remaining times it either stalls or shuts down automatically. Every person I know who uses the app has the exact same complaint. ### 1/5 — Unusable *2023-08-09* When trying to read an article, the page will swipe itself off the screen unless I’m on WiFi and not cellular. Obviously, this paper seems overly concerned about WHERE the customer is, and it’s using IP addresses to determine that, judging by the “turn off private relay” responses from the devs. Whatever you guys are trying to do, you’re doing it incorrectly. An app glitch like this will drive away customers and is certainly harming the newspaper’s bottom line. **Developer response:** We've made some recent changes to our app and hope the ability to access articles has improved. I tried twice to fix it contacting customer service to no avail. Really sad they can’t make a decent app. The old app was at least serviceable ### 2/5 — Day-old Sports *2023-07-29, version 9.2* I would think that a digital edition of a newspaper should be able to give up-to-date results of games played the night before. It can’t be that hard to do. Want to read an article? Just click on it, scroll down to try to read it, and it will immediately take you back to the main page. Rinse and repeat! This is a cry for help. Please fix this, I really hate to cancel, but hate this app even more. Without the app the get articles at my fingertips, the subscription is worthless. I can read fewer articles now than I used to with paper edition ### 1/5 — New version very bug filled *2024-12-16, version 10.0.6* The so called improved version E-edition is terrible. Frequent crashes, blurred text, ad at bottom blocks the page, pages are slow loading due to ad at bottom, frequent errors saying page won’t load, when exiting the e edition it no longer return to where you left off like the older version. You messed it up bad this time, Star Telegram. Please fix the bugs. Reading the E edition is a laborious and frustrating activity now. Addendum After fixing the above issues it worked well but a major issue has returned. Tapping on a story results in a spinning wheel and no story loads. Calling the paper was of no help as their only suggestion was to delete the app and reinstall it, which didn’t work. ### 1/5 — Trash *2024-05-08, version 10.0.2* This app has turned to garbage! In particular, the way the eEdition functions is fantastic. As an example, it puts the Chicago Tribune eEdition in its own app to shame!
