### 3/5 — Fun at first, but AI absolutely cheats

*2025-10-20*

Really fun game, i love the concept. But the AI is so dirty. They roll exactly what they need to buy up all the shops on a street, completely pass by all your shops, and land on every single venture. You win for maybe the first 10 games, then even the D RANK CHARACTERS WHIPE THE FLOOR WITH YOU. Garbage

### 4/5 — Love It!

*2024-02-04*

Really enjoying it, but wish I could find where to buy stocks?

### 2/5 — Initially Fun, BUT S-SHOW of cheating AI

*2023-12-20*

I’ve been playing for about 3 days. Initially, I loved the game. The stock mechanic adds a great dynamic vs games like Monopoly. The Fortune Street Wii game was a hit with our family, but the tendency for the AI to cheat exclusively eventually drove us away. This game unfortunately does the same. I was enjoying the quests where they give you scenarios of boards with the opponents already allocated properties. I spent hours applying various strategies, only to have the game provide the exact roll to force me to land on the one property that would take all my accumulated wealth….all the while ensuring that the AI opponents ALWAYS made the EXACT roll to circumvent my properties and land on various beneficial squares. This even extended to the “RANDOM” cards drawn. On one 3 hour game, while heading to the bank for the win, two characters drew cards that sequentially “RANDOMLY” lowered my dominion stock in the same group and the third drew a card to RECEIVE ALL SUITs AND ROLL AGAIN…to which they received another card allowing to INSTANTLY travel to the bank and WIN!
I can accept a strategy not working (and with no save game option, time consuming to start over)…but with the AI dictating roll results to guarantee failure just steals away my desire to play.

### 3/5 — Great game but flawed.

*2023-01-17*

Very fun game just like the WII version…. But it has its issues. I don’t think the NPC’s will accept any amount of cash to sell their shops and it would help if the challenges had a description of what you need to do to beat them.

### 4/5 — No panda award info

*2022-01-04, version 1.1.3*

I’m skills test there are no instructions on how to get the panda award…

### 4/5 — Remake!!

*2020-09-14, version 1.1.3*

Love this game but it needs a visual update!!

### 3/5 — Horrendously out-of-date visuals

*2020-04-05*

The fonts and font sizes are all super-weird for English. I can see that style working for Japanese, but people who read the Latin alphabet have to make too many mental adjustments between fonts and font sizes.

### 4/5 — Fun but difficult

*2019-01-21, version 1.1.3*

This game is really fun even though it is hard but that is probably because I’m not very good at it and if you want to play multiplayer when you are selecting characters click guest, choose your icon and invite a friend to play!!!

### 3/5 — Not updated

*2018-01-31, version 1.1.3*

Can’t buy full version.
Aside a weird trade glitch that makes aí unable to trade it’s good.
Needs multiplayer like other fortune street.
But unfortunately only 1 map in free version.

### 5/5 — Love it to this day!

*2017-11-15*

I’ve been playing this game for almost 4 years and just now realized it works with iOS 11. Originally I assumed it didn’t, but when I was scrolling through my purchases I saw the download icon was available. This works on iOS 11!

Anyways, like what must people are saying, the game is a blend of monopoly mixed with some cheery joyful humor and dialogue. If you prefer to speed up the game without dialogue, then there’s a option to turn off. The game is fun and challenging, but not going to lie that I feel the computer tries to screw me in dice rolls sometimes. That aside I say the game is worth the look for that’s how I first played, then bought the full game. I also purchased a few DLC’s and while they’re bit pricey, overall I say it’s worth it. Yes people there is multiplayer.

Not going to lie, I love the game 👍🏾

### 3/5 — Their is some flaws

*2017-04-20*

This is a great game that I love but I noticed after winning about 10 games the dice began to give me worse and worse roles and all of the cpus where getting so lucky it wasn't fair. Then I tested it with 2 real people me and my friend and we got creamed. This is a good game but it slowly gets more and more rigged and makes the odds less in your favor.

### 5/5 — Luv it

*2017-03-19*

Miss a bit of the MARIO version on the wii but love all the extra awesome worlds wish we could get a new gen version on consoles

### 5/5 — Love the game! But...

*2016-05-20, version 1.1.3*

Absolutely LOVE this game!!! Please add online multiplayer!

### 3/5 — Fun!

*2016-01-24, version 1.1.3*

A lot like the wii game but since the in app purchases aren't working for me, it's a really big shame...

### 5/5 — There is multiplayer, no one is looking

*2015-06-26*

Prior to downloading, I read every review carefully and was sad to hear it was apparently missing a key feature.

However, that key feature is already there. Start up a game and as you select the computers to play, look at the bottom left corner and there is a button titled guest. Each guest can be a boy or girl and individually named and controlled. There lies the feature that everyone is complaining is not there.

### 2/5 — Missing a key feature

*2015-03-18*

The game runs really well but is missing one of the biggest features, the ability to play with friends. It has no way, i.e. pass-and-play, local wireless, or online, to enjoy the game with another human player.
Other than that it is a great game, five stars if they add multiplayer.

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2015-03-12*

Okay, I was at first intimidated by Fortune Street when a game like that came out for the Wii and critics said it was extremely confusing (so I thought this would be too). But after a few rounds it's actually pretty easy to understand and a fun alternative take on Monopoly. You can buy properties and opponents have to pay you if they land on them just like Monopoly, but you can gain the opportunity to "invest" in those properties and make them cost more, buy out properties from under people, buy stock in areas to make even more money. Then you have "Venture" cards, kinda like Chance and Community Chest, where they can either help or hurt your gameplay. Playing unlocks more maps and opponents, and the DLC is nice. It's pretty fun, definitely worth the download.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Offensive

*2023-01-16*

This is the first game I ever felt was bad enough to offend me. After the amazing console versions, the makers of this game should be ashamed. Just awful. I hope someone will make an alternative clone that’s actually playable. I get so frustrated trying to squeeze enjoyment out of this mess.

### 1/5 — It was fun

*2020-10-16*

Like many people I loved the version on wii. So after playing the demo map, I figured that I could just buy the game. Little did they say you pay $4.99 and then you would have to pay $2.99 for the DLC’s and you don’t even get any new maps or characters to play against.

### 1/5 — Stupid

*2015-06-03, version 1.1.3*

Removed what made it fun, Multiplayer. Plus the digital die is weighted.

### 1/5 — Aaaaw common guys!!!

*2014-06-19, version 1.1.1*

I love the Wii version of this game and wanted to play it any time. So I was super exited wen i found this i saw oh look no mario caricatures oh well that's ok. I play it and BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! If u like the Wii version dont even waist your rime trying this one

### 1/5 — Can't buy full version?

*2013-12-24, version 1.1.1*

Very fun but only one star till it lets me be able to buy the full version.

### 1/5 — Crap

*2013-09-12, version 1.1.1*

This game is sooooo bad. The AI cheats, there is no multiplayer, there is a trade feature but the AI WILL NOT TRADE. Overall it's a complete waste of time and money.

### 1/5 — Do not uninstal!

*2013-08-26, version 1.1.1*

I recently upgraded to a 5th gen iPod. When I reinstalled FSS, all my in-app purcases were no longer accessable.

I spent good money, and can't get at my purchases any more. This is garbage.

### 1/5 — Don't get this

*2013-05-04, version 1.1.1*

I know most of the reviews say this is so great but it's definitely NOT. I would give it zero stars if I could.👎👎👎it NEVER allows you to win

### 1/5 — A good game but the computer cheats

*2013-02-08, version 1.1.1*

It's a great game with a poorly programmed AI. It's designed to have them roll the die to the exact spaces they want. You can own one side of the board and they will almost always find a way to avoid shops and land on venture events. In the end, it's often not worth the trouble and frustration. Certainly not worth the money if you like to even have a chance at winning. Worse yet, the dice has a strong tendency to put you at a disadvantage with your roll. If you can just steal the game if you're jailbroken. Then you won't have as much regret once the frustration of this game sets it. It really is NOT worth your money to give the money grubbing lazy folks at Square-Enix.

### 1/5 — Messes up my menu!

*2013-01-21, version 1.1.1*

I can't put it in a folder and when I try it messes up the menu!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2025-08-16*

I’ve always played the Japanese version of this game. And I appreciate you making it for the phone. I wish there were more levels. I’ve paid for all the dlcs. Please make more.

### 5/5 — Updated Review

*2024-02-25*

Absolutely love this game!! Just like the Wii game!! Love it so much that I bought all the extras!!! Hope they make more in the future!!

### 5/5 — Panda Award = Fully invested (3x) Zoo & Win

*2022-05-14*

I waited 2 years for someone on gamefaqs to figure out and post this as the game gave no explanation on how to win the Panda Award. Just gotta win with a zoo that has been invested in fully so that is shows the icon of a “PANDA”! Sharing this for all the other stuck Fortune/Itadaki Street fans.

### 5/5 — Best Board Game Ever

*2022-01-07, version 1.1.3*

This is the best board game I’ve ever played! Imagine a better Monopoly that is skill based with so many more suspenseful and interesting dynamics! 11/10 would vote 6 stars if I could! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — Give us more fortune street!

*2021-05-06*

I love this game and I wish there was more fortune street in my life

### 5/5 — Add multiplayer

*2020-05-10*

Guys! Love the app version of the cool wii game, but it lack value for me since there is no multiplayer feature.😢

### 5/5 — Great!👍

*2020-04-24, version 1.1.3*

It's an awesome time killer!!

### 5/5 — Not the same as the Wii version, BUT....

*2020-01-18*

Although it lacks the character from the Wii version, it certainly has more or less the same gameplay. If you’re a fan of the gameplay itself, I’d say it’s definitely worth it.
If you’re unsure, just download it and try the trial board out! 💗

And it surprisingly works well on even the latest firmware and models!

Do wish Square-Enix would allow the devs to create DLC for this, though... even more boards and maybe some added similarity (or even better than) the Wii version. iPhones can certainly more than handle the upgrades! (Even if they’re graphical!)

### 5/5 — Helping multiplayer wanter’s

*2019-12-21*

This game DOES have multiplayer, it’s just on the opponent selection screen! Up to 4 players!

### 5/5 — Still playing in 2019!

*2019-01-22, version 1.1.3*

Along side the Wii Fortune Street title! Still hoping Itadaki Street Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary will be localized! 😭
