I can only access the app from one device at a time. Secondly what is the point if i only get an alarm with the app open. Thirdly , again what is the point if i cannot see past alerts. I know i said two points but i really cannot see why you sell me a half built app ### 3/5 — In urgent need of an update *2017-08-15* This app could be brilliant but stay away from it until the developers update it, at the moment it is slow and lacking finesse. ### 2/5 — Missing important features *2017-06-19, version 2.35* Contacted the developer and he never answered. 1) You cannot setup internal & external IPs. 2) Does not offer push to talk. I sadly purchased this app. Last update was in 2016!!! ### 3/5 — It's okay. *2017-05-10, version 2.35* After adding zones and realizing it can't default to a different zone, I tried to delete the added zone, but it only allows me to delete the default zones and not the ones I have added. It also doesn't allow me to use microphone for two way communication with most of the new cameras, which I would have liked for kids room monitoring. ### 4/5 — Better than other apps I tried! *2017-03-12, version 2.35* Once learned to set the right port for connecting the cam outside my wifi area, it worked fast and flawlessly, best controls for alarm and cam preset positions. ### 2/5 — Trouble with connecting and panning *2017-02-06, version 2.35* While I like the layout of the app, there are some real problems with its functionality. Note than I am able to view and control my remote Foscams just fine using the ie plugin that came with the cameras, and another vendor's home automation app on my iphone. The HD2 Pro app has proven to be buggy and unreliable. It will connect with a camera, and in a matter of seconds the camera disconnects. I have to send a command for the camera to pan in those few seconds in order to get a long-term stream. Panning is very glitchy. The cameras move in fits and starts. It seems that if I try to pan a camera just a short distance when it is anywhere but near either end of its travel, it will continue panning on its own to the extreme end of its travel as though I had kept my finger on the pan button for an extended period (I have the speed set on slow). The sound doesn't appear to be coming through consistently, either. I wish the app had a failover capability so I could use the app while I'm on the same lan as the cameras. Overall, Im not pleased with the app and would not recommend it. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2016-10-08, version 2.35* I bought this app specifically because it said it would work with Amcrest cameras as I now own both Foscam and Amcrest cameras and wanted to be able to use just one app. Although I was able to get the app to connect to the Amcrest IP2M-841 it would only work in MJPEG sub stream at 480p low resolution or in image mode. Welcome back to 1989. In addition I have had several other issues getting cameras set up. Disappointed. Guys you can do better ### 3/5 — Getting there... *2016-07-18* The first version was an amazing app for foscam. I used it for years. I upgraded and since moved on to Amcrest cameras.... I took a chance with this and though you can view easily enough, there's not much functionality - BUT, the creators never claimed it offered full Amcrest functionality on the foscam level so you can't knock them. If they can get this to offer Amcrest functionality, it'd be a winner. For foscam users, it's second time round knockout winner. Well don't to the creators ### 2/5 — The original version was better *2016-06-23, version 2.35* While there were some nice usability changes in the new version, it is a lot less stable than the original. The app constantly crashes and fails to load cameras that still work fine in the original app, Foscam Pro Surveillance. But I can view my older Foscam 8910 cameras Also, this app doesn’t allow me to remove zones for some reason Because of these issues, I’ve reverted back to using the original app which still works like a charm (you can view R2 cameras by setting it up as an 9821 camera) ### 1/5 — App stopped showing R2 video stream *2019-03-16, version 2.35* Used to be a supporter of this app but two weeks ago it stopped showing the video stream on my R2 camera. It logs into the camera but there is no video stream. So far no response from the developer on this. Had to load a competitor app in order to see the camera stream ### 1/5 — Delete a Zone? *2018-11-29, version 2.35* Navigating to Settings>Manage cameras and zones I can add a zone, add cameras, or delete cameras but there is no way for me to delete an unused, spare, or empty zone. I tried long pressing and swiping on the zone from either direction and I cannot find a way to delete zones. Advice please. ### 1/5 — Today screen issues, Support never reply *2018-11-15* Today screen doesn’t work for many models of cameras and no matter how many times you email support through the app with all diag info they do not reply, to date! ### 1/5 — Very average app *2017-11-14* Does not support latest cameras as not listed, no remote connection, PTZ live feed badly pixelated when moving camera, and goes back to normal once done. How is this the best app for foscam there are plenty which are better. Expensive also, i downloaded app to 1 device and $7.49 only supports 1 device additional downloads at $7.49 per download per device average,clunky, out of date. ### 1/5 — A Pro App that doesn't allow SSL *2017-08-11* Some of the older model Foscam cameras do not support SSL natively and so you have to use a reverse proxy with a signed cert. However, even though this app supports SSL, you cannot turn it on for older cameras if the didn't natively support. Why! Who knows but it seems like an over site. ### 1/5 — Ripped off in NJ *2017-01-23, version 2.35* I am very upset with this app. I purchased the original app a couple years ago Foscam surveillance pro. Was happy with the app even though it cost me $4.99 I recently upgraded my phone and downloaded the app again. Upon opening the app- a pop up dialogue box stated that there is an upgrade to the app. So I clicked yes. It brought me to the App Store and the new version was there for $4.99. As we know with apple. It states the price but doesn't charge you. Apparently the app tells you there's an update but fails to tell you it's not for free. (I received a $4.99 +tax charge from apple) Needless to say, I'm returning the app ### 1/5 — I will NOT recommend *2016-10-15, version 2.35* I was using a free software from Foscam and I thought I should buy one since I have been using Foscam cameras to monitor our home a lot of times. I was very disappointed with this software from Convenience. First, it is VERY difficult to connect cameras. As compared to the simple steps from Foscam. Second and most important, the connection is intermittent. I was suspecting that it was my internet connection so I tried to check using the free version from Foscam. And every time I failed to connect with the camera using the software from Convenience, I would try the other software and I would be able to connect without any hassle at all. To be honest, I think the free software from Foscam is worth $4.99 and this should be free. ### 1/5 — Waste of money, rip off *2016-07-19* I have used the old foscam pro for years and was very happy. I stopped getting updates and found out why, you have to pay again for the same app with little change. This version is worse. You load the app and you see the camera view but the controls are queuing and after about 10 seconds it says retry. The old foscam pro works perfect. Do not waste your money. I.e. You cannot run the windows portal via Mac without a virtual machine/windows. More recently they "updated" the plugin and it completely stopped working. Tried 3rd party apps - e.g. OWLR. Some good but none offered digital zoom. This app is a Godsend - setup was easy (we already had a DynDNS account setup) worked first time. Huge support for Foscam's range. Foscam owe these guys. ### 5/5 — Nice app *2017-03-15, version 2.35* I'm using this app with several models of foscam cameras, indoor and outdoor. It works faster and more reliably than free apps I've used before. The interface is convenient for quickly viewing and controlling multiple cameras. When I first started using it, one of my cameras wasn't even supported, while a couple were poorly supported. In just the past 6 months of use, not only are they now fully supported, the app has steadily improved in functionality, steaming, and stability.
