I’ve had several of their cameras for many years and they haven’t got any better. Avoid them and go with cameras that are actually useful and reliable. ### 1/5 — Software is garbage, cameras are decent *2026-06-17, version 5.3.23* Software takes 10 seconds to load and “encrypt the stream”, which is about 10 longer than my other two brands. Now it will not launch unless you launch it repeatedly ten to twenty times. Then it closes after a minute or two. NO compren esta cámara es malisimassa ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Since August 27 2026, all my Foscam R2 caméras don’t work *2026-08-29, version 5.3.25* I don’t know if this is related, but since Thursday August 27 2026, all of my Foscam R2 caméra at my house as well at some of my friends house don’t work anymore. Even if I want to access the camera locally fro it IP address and port number or via the Foscam iPad iPhone application. None of these methods are working. I have 4 Foscam R2 and my friend has 3 and same result. All my other camera on my network are working properly. Also I am using a Amazon firestick with the software TinyCam monitor pro and it’s giving the same problem . I can’t connect to my Foscam R2 it asked my credential which have not been changed , I I put them and nothing happen. ### 1/5 — Quality *2026-08-28, version 5.3.25* The quality of this camera is extremely terrible. The visual changes from all white to pixelated you can’t see anything it loses color. The bad thing is that is all. I pay for one of them to be activated at all time and this is quite very expensive. I am not going to renew because it’s a waste o money because it never records anything worth recording. In fact it is hilarious because it will not record when somebody come to the house knocks at the door or leaves a package, however if there is a bit of wind, it will constantly record the movement of the leaves as “human” presence… I have called and written to them endlessly, I think they’re in China, but nothing is done… I am staying with Foscam ONLY because I have too many cameras otherwise I would definitely change to another provider. I have been a Foscam user for over 15 years, and the system and support are second to none. My family members have used Ring, Boykeep, and SwitchBot with horrible outcomes. I use a Foscam FN3109 9-channel NVR which continuously records 9 of my 11 indoor and outdoor cameras. I’ve also used their cloud service for roughly 10 years. Mittlerweile ist sie sehr gut entwickelt und man kann damit übersichtlich seine Kameras sehen und verwalten. Die Bedienung ist intuitiv. Sollte man doch mal ein Problem haben, antwortet Foscam auf eine Supportanfrage umgehend. So habe ich zum Beispiel sofort erfahren, dass man die Reihenfolge der Anzeige der Kameras sehr wohl ändern kann: „Konto/Einstellungen/Einstellen der Kameras“ und dann einfach die Reihenfolge ändern.
