Outdated and poor technology. Can’t compete with other smart watches ### 2/5 — Stopped working *2026-01-10, version 5.1.18* I used to love this app, but it hasn’t worked in months. I don’t know if it’s iPhone updates that have broken it or the app itself, but it never syncs anymore despite running in the background all the time. And manual syncs take several minutes each and often fail. It never had these problems before but it’s become useless sadly. I made the mistake of deleting the app entirely to see if reinstalling it would help and now I can’t even get back in… password reset emails don’t actually seem to send (I check the junk/spam). Even tried to create a new account with a different email, but it “sends a verification code” to that email that also never goes through. Guess I’m officially done with this app. Sad. Loved the watch. Would’ve been nice to keep using the tracking. ### 2/5 — Not connecting with iOS 26 *2025-12-19, version 5.1.18* My fossil watch stopped connecting to the app after upgrading iPhone to iOS 26. Still waiting for a firmware update on fossil device that may solve the problem. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating is because it takes two or three attempts to reconnect to my watch after disconnecting. But once it connects it stays connected. A 4.7-star rating would be more accurate I think. It’s a good reason NOT to buy a Fossil smart watch, because if you’re hoping to view your stats on the app and use all the tracking functions, buy something else. It’s an absolute disappointment. The app has trouble updating and connecting to the watch. The app won’t upload stats. If it does upload your stats and then you click to view it, it disappears. Garbage. Fossil if you want people to be able to use your smart watches to the fullest, get new app support and someone that knows how to program it. 👍🏻 ### 1/5 — Why bother *2025-04-16, version 5.1.15* Using iPhone 16 Pro Max - this app won’t even find my watch. Fossil is a watchmaking company who thought they were software engineers. They were wrong. They have no idea how to handle software, and it seems they forgot how to make watches trying to figure out the software. Leave the software to Apple, and get a watch that will actually work with your phone. ### 1/5 — Low effort app, ruins the experience of a nice watch *2025-04-09, version 5.1.15* The amount of gliches and bugs and stuff that doesn’t work in this app ridiculous, it’s embarrassing for a premium brand to put so little effort into a basic app. Some issues make it look like the watch isnt working properly. Most of the bugs are so small but obvious a child could fix them.
