Will be canceling subscription ### 2/5 — This WAS Awesome *2024-03-15, version 3.4.0* Sadly, it’s just an abandoned app. I’m hunting for a replacement. ### 2/5 — Another Abandoned App! *2023-02-11* Apple should remove apps that haven’t been updated within a year. O1-19-20. Developer contacted me 4 months after last review so I gave one more star. Explained some things and wants to work with me on the location not updating. Update. 8-10-19. I physically relocated To a new state and says gps auto update but it won’t change locations. This is useless. Must be a bug but can’t get it to update to my current location. Should not be difficult at all. Original review. Downloaded and took a quick spin around. And really like what i see until i get to the radar option. Overall I think this is a great app I would have paid for but not for the subscription amount. Radar is only for subscription and to me is too basic a function and covered by too many other good apps for free. I would definitely pay for this app one time but not subscription. Really tired of everything going to subscription. Especially with apps I will lose track and keep paying and paying. I guess that is what they bank on. ### 1/5 — Double dip *2020-01-16, version 3.2.1* So I purchase the annual subscription and pay. Two weeks ap locks me out and requires purchase. Really? ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2019-10-26* The Sunrise/Sunset quality scores are useless. I can plan a shoot based on this only for it to be completely inaccurate. The Quality Scores then update retrospectively just to add insult to injury. Recently spent £50 on a train 5 hour round trip journey to photography a famous bridge in Scotland as the Quality Score predicted an 80% score for sunset. Post sunset the QS updated to 12%. I have no idea what the Fotoscore number is or how it is calculated. I have been stood in a rainy miserable day in Edinburgh and it’s been at 10. I have been stood looking at the most beautiful sunset light and it’s been 0. It seems to be a random arbitrary number. All of the other paid features are next to useless. There are a number of bugs with regards to notifications. Constantly sending them when you have turned Notifications off, or sending multiple of the same ones over and over again. I tried to flag this but they do not accept screenshots over 1.5 megabytes (?!). Stick to the free version. Don’t pay for this. ### 1/5 — My Location (Auto GPS) doesn’t update location *2019-09-18* Auto GPS function does not work. I tried to refresh it several times, uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but the location is stuck to the original location. Sent an email to support but got no response. **Developer response:** Hello, we did not receive a contact from you -- did you send it to our e-mail directly, or did you use the in-app support system? Our e-mail is a gmail account and it is very strict with spam filtering and it may have gone to spam unintentionally. I would always suggest using the in-app support system if you can. I would definitely love to fix this issue you are having with the auto GPS system. I’ve tried resetting my phone. Even tried deleting this app off my phone and reinstalling it multiple times. Tried setting the app to use my location and also not use it - failed. Tried setting push notifications off, and on - still failed. I loved this app; what happened to it?!? Did you guys write in some algorithm that disables use after a certain number of uses without purchasing it? Each time I open the app it crashes ### 1/5 — Nice idea just doesn't work *2019-02-24* Thinks it's clear when loads of clouds and vice versa, it can't even get the current weather right let alone the future. Also very often reverts to other locations that I haven't been in for months and have used the app several times since. ### 1/5 — WARNING! More bugs than usable features *2019-02-09* Attempt to edit gear causes app to force close. Address search results in “my photo places” cannot be selected and improperly displays in user interface. Use of the camera in the “my photo places” results in force close of app. In app support fails to send on both WiFi and cell connections without any indication and requires that you delete your support message to go back to the app. I used this on the iPad Pro 11. I have no doubt that this list does not represent the entirety of bugs present in this application. I experienced a force close for the first 5 features I tried to use and decided it best to remove the application and put a warning to future users. The app looked promising but turned out like every other poorly coded, subscription or micro transaction apps that litter the App Store. Rest assured knowing that the subscription creation/ in app purchases is functioning properly. You will have no issue getting the app to accept your money, but this is a near complete list of functioning features, generously made available through this app. **Developer response:** Thanks for your patience and understanding. 😔 ### 3/5 — Does it work *2018-08-11* I do landscape and astrophotography and it says partly cloudy when there is not a cloud in the sky. It does show my location on the map but not sure about the forecast. I will continue to use it along with other weather apps. **Developer response:** Hi peered, the weather information is the same as you would get from any other weather service or your local news channel. Meteorology is not always perfect and sometimes the weather forecast might not always be spot on - Mother Nature can surprise us. Set against beautiful backgrounds the information is concise and useful. The Sun and Moon location tools overlaid on my position make planning much easier. Directly above is the Golden Hour, Blue Hour, Nightfall, and Dawn Times. It’s great for daylight shooting! For nighttime photography the Aurora tab tells me if the Northern Lights will be visible. Combining that with the Moon Phase, and Weather sections, and you know the odds of an Aurora vigil paying off. This app replaces several other apps I’ve bought. The subscription is reasonably priced. All told, this is an app well worth the investment for anyone interested in either photography, or the outdoors! ### 5/5 — Crashes and will not work *2019-03-07* The app installs well and asks to locate for forecasting, etc. when you give approval it follows by crashing and continues to crash with every activation thereafter. Looked hopeful but ultimately only a scandalous heartbreaker.
